There hasn't been a single clear piece of footage containing Bin Laden for more than half a decade now. And all of the recordings are most certainly not him. Given his profile of liking to spit in the face of the infidels at every opportunity, we know from his character that he likes to make appearances. Plus, to his followers, he's a really inspirational guy. There's no reason he'd become this obscure, not even security concerns. He always found ways to smuggle tapes out of his safety zones to reach broader audiences.

The guy is dead. There is no other explanation. We seriously hurt the Al Qaeda network in the years following the Afghan invasion.

Prove it, please. I want to believe, really I do. But frankly, you have absolutely no evidence to support your claims.

He seemed fairly alive in January, though it was just an audiotape.

I don't think there needs to be an overt threat of fear. The implication that this is a goal is all that is necessary. That implication was present in the letter:

I decided to send a message to a government that was becoming increasingly hostile

I'd say leftists are bothered by the way it went down, but that there was justification to go after the Branch Davidians.

and elvis is still alive too.

IMO, OBL is dead until they prove otherwise.. show me a recent video of him holding a recent USA Today and ill feel differently.
i mean really.. using the same methods we could have Abe Lincoln give a live retort to each OBL airing.

He is no longer a US citizen, perhaps you should consult the law before you post.

Anwar al Awlaki was born and raised in America. This is his homeland. He is as American as you are.
