Americans Think Obama Would Lose In 2012

More than half of registered voters believe President Obama will lose a bid for a second term, even as more Americans say they approve of his job performance than at any time in more than a year.

A new CNN/Opinion Research Corporation survey, released Tuesday, shows 51 percent of registered voters, and the same percentage of adult Americans, believe Obama will lose if he runs for re-election. 46 percent say he would win.

Americans are so enamored of equality that they would rather be equal in slavery than unequal in freedom.

It's not really that surprising. It's not necessarily bad news for Democrats, though. A great deal of Democrats aren't exactly happy with Obama's performance thus far. It's not like he's their best hope or something.

And it's early yet. We'll see what happens.

AUSTAN GOOLSBEE: I think the world vests too much power, certainly in the president, probably in Washington in general for its influence on the economy, because most all of the economy has nothing to do with the government.

Honestly, it's a silly poll. At this point in 2007, no one knew who he was aside from a few connected people and those who may have seen him speak in 2004.

And then he got elected; so I don't see how a poll like this now - without putting an opponent up even - has anything to say.

Other than 51% of Americans don't care who runs against him as long as he is out.....HA! But I tried to move this to blogs section since it was CNN's blog....I guess it didn't take.

Right now, most Americans don't think he could beat a rented mule. People want a do-over on this one.

It would help if you tried reading your own quote. "A new CNN/Opinion Research Corporation survey, released Tuesday, shows 51 percent of registered voters, and the same percentage of adult Americans, believe Obama will lose if he runs for re-election. 46 percent say he would win." It says that they don't think he'll win if he is re-elected, not that they want him out.

Oh well, what does that matter? let's just say what we want it to mean.

you folks need to look at these posts and observe what an echo chamber you create for each other's ignorance. for a n overall look at obams chances of reelection, consult a site like "pollster". obams is currently favored by about 5% of anyone the party-for-the-rich can run at present concensus

Fortunately for the Dems, the Repubs only aspire to find a rented mule to run against him.
