It's our money and our own social programs should take priority over programs of foreign governments.

Now in my opinion there is something that “every American” should be behind, take care of our own first and foremost.

I did not say that being a graduate of a good college qualifies you to be President. I was only taking issue with your direct assertion that he was less qualified than Justin Timberlake or your data entry clerks (a silly and disingenuous comment by you, BTW)

That said, being a constitutional law professor at one of the nations top law schools is an extremely prestigious job and a very noteworthy accomplishment.

Media Inquiries | University of Chicago Law School

Rest assured he did not get this job without showing his transcripts... and they would have to have been reasonably impressive. I'm not sure why you feel compelled to see them. The have obviously been given more expert scrutiny than you can apply (moreover, when was the last time you asked to see your Doctor's, accountants or attorney's grades???).

Given that the primary job of president is to uphold the constitution, I would say that being a scholar in the matter is a helluva qualification.... granted it is a many faceted job and knowing the constitution and its history is just one of those facets.

(Certainly if you have accomplished more than a faculty position at one of the nation's top law schools, I would love to hear about it....)
Sorry I'll vote for someone who isn't a lawyer, over someone that is all day long, In this day and age, when such things as honor, honesty, integrity, responsibility, and morals all seem to be a thing of the past in our elected officials a law degree is more often then not used to skirt the laws then uphold them.

That's quite the generalization. Kind of like saying all doctors are ambulance chasers.

AUSTAN GOOLSBEE: I think the world vests too much power, certainly in the president, probably in Washington in general for its influence on the economy, because most all of the economy has nothing to do with the government.
