Comparing peaceful Mexican immigration with the genocide of Native Americans? Fail.

Haven't you ever heard of the Trail of Tears?

If anything, the fact that they are hiring illegal immigrants makes them authentically American.

I do get a kick out of the fact that Chipotle makes a big deal about using local produce. They forget to mention that they reserve the right to import labor.

The food service industry uses illegal immigrants? No way.

Ever one of us regularly eats food prepared by illegals, probably sleep under a roof nailed by illegals, get over it. The government is responsible for our borders, government isn't that great at anything, why would you expect they'd be good at keeping the borders secure? Ah, but the government makes the rules, and then when they fail at it we can't blame them, but god damn Chipotle for giving a job to someone in their community who wanted a job, did good work, and didn't gripe about the pay (at least not in a language they understood)

If illegals are part of the community, denying the jobs is just as bad as having let them cross the border, having crossed the border, having sought a job illegally. It's all the same ****. If government wants it to be done well, and can't do it well, and doesn't have the will, just privatize it. Let the gun nuts and border-whackos buy up the border corridor and let them retire kicking back in a lawn chair with an AK and a bottle of beer keep our borders sealed. If we don't have the balls to enforce a border, why have a border at all?

And how many Americans have been killed in Mexico this year? Do you know? And if not why? How many have been kidnapped from American cities like AZ? Another huge story going largely unreported in our media? Why?

Do you believe in the Atzlan movement Guy?

Americans are so enamored of equality that they would rather be equal in slavery than unequal in freedom.

Leave this stuff at the conspiracy theory board, will ya? This is a serious immigration debate.

    Article is here.
    This is good news...

It would cost our economy less to slap a stiff prison term on the illegals than it will to have the employers spend the money necessary to check the documents of all of these people.

Better yet; let’s pay Mexico to hold the illegals in a Mexican prison for three years. Do that and three froths of the illegals would leave before we could catch them.

As far as a path to citizenship; sending them back to Mexico where they are citizens is a path I would put them on.

I agree that we need a reasonable guest worker program that would stipulate that the guest worker could never become a citizen and that their kids would not become citizens either.
Every employer I ever worked for asked to see documentation I was either a citizen or allowed to work in the US (birth certificate, social security card, or VISA)... I really don't understand how enforcing the law is asking employers too much.

I think it's kind of messed up that some would prefer to send honest workers to jail rather than have to hold business owners accountable for ascertaining the citizenship status of their employees.
