U.S. in Contempt Over Gulf Drill Ban, Judge Rules - Bloomberg

The Obama Administration acted in contempt by continuing its deepwater-drilling moratorium after the policy was struck down, a New Orleans judge ruled.

Interior Department regulators acted with “determined disregard” by lifting and reinstituting a series of policy changes that restricted offshore drilling, following the worst offshore oil spill in U.S. history, U.S. District Judge, Martin Feldman of New Orleans ruled yesterday.

“Each step the government took following the court’s imposition of a preliminary injunction showcases its defiance,” Feldman said in the ruling.

“Such dismissive conduct, viewed in tandem with the re-imposition of a second blanket and substantively identical moratorium, and in light of the national importance of this case, provide this court with clear and convincing evidence of the government’s contempt," Feldman said.

1. The Obama White House sure is knowing an awful lot of worry THIS WEEK over the Judiciary.

2. No wonder Chuckie Schumer, the new defacto leader of the party still in power in upper parliament, forgot that the robed independents comprise our government's third branch.

3. An awful lot of trouble, too, the adminstration is having with TRANSPARENCY.

4. Judge Martin Feldman of New Orleans TODAY followed up Roger Vinson's pivotal ruling out of Florida MONDAY finding that the mandate, as well as the federally imposed yet unfunded expansion of Medicaid eligibility on our already bankrupt states, and Obamacare in its entirety are all unconsitutional.

5. A "determined disregard" of the court, found Feldman, concerning the adminstration's bullying drilling ban.

6. "Defiance," "dismissive conduct," tantamount to CONTEMPT of the independent judiciary out of the Eastern District of LA, held His Honor.

7. The DOJ, completely out of character, clearly chastened, came back with "no comment."

8. This is the same Interior Department which Obama's OWN spill panel reported "misled the public" about the real damage done in those dark hundred days of BP.

9. This is the same Interior Department ratted out by its OWN inspector general for "rewriting a report to suggest – wrongly – that independent experts had endorsed a six-month ban on deepwater drilling" after that fatal failure of the blowout preventer.

10. But the president's CONTEMPT for the right of our republic's electorate to know what's going on inside our government is certainly not limited to health care, drilling and BP.

11. No, House Oversight requests for emails explaining the White House's repeated stonewalling of FOIA applications have been, well, stonewalled.

12. Issa is trying to get to the bottom of AP's assertion last July that "top DHS officials told career employees to steer sensitive FOIA requests to Obama’s political advisers for scrutiny."

13. The White House promised on January 14 to accede to the Committee's requests by the 28th.

14. Then, on the 29th Interior mailed another letter in lieu of the sought after emails, promising to comply by Saturday, noon.

15. Issa hit back hard, intimating to all the insiders that he has a department whistle blower who has indicated to him that "top DHS officials actually instructed career employees not to search for the documents he is requesting."

16. Frustration of the FOIA has been a constant theme in this administration from the beginning.

17. There were the roadblocks against disclosure of the White House visitor logs, the AIG bonuses, and the allocation of TARP funds that found their way in the tens of billions to foreign banks.

18. And on top of all this CONTEMPT and lack of TRANSPARENCY is the creeping CRONYISM which has come to charactrerize this crew.

19. After learning that HHS has EXEMPTED some 800 Too Bigs, many of them SEIU locals, from Obamacare requirements the rest of America must be held to, we are told today that the White House has WAIVED General Electric, parent of MSNBC, whose CEO Imelt was recently raised to Jobs Czar, from GREEN energy guidelines the rest of us must endure.

20. Why all the obstruction, contempt, unconstitutionality, rewriting of reports, misleading of the public, exemptions for SOME?

21. Secretary Salazar, Secretary Napolitano, Attorney General Holder?

22. There's a PATTERN, here, and America's catching on.

His healthcare plan is unconstitutional.

His drill banning was illegal.

Israel is pissed at him.

Mubarak is pissed at him.

The Hu visit did not go well.

He lost the House.

He's losing the Senate.

It's been a bad quarter for the Prez.

No wonder Chuckie Schumer, the new defacto leader of the party still in power in upper parliament, forgot that the robed independents comprise our government's third branch.

He didn’t forget. He was talking to the liberal horde, who doesn’t know or care how the government works or any of the co-equal stuff.

Obama is a sorry excuse for a leader and if this offends you tough' It's the truth. He is in over his head as he has been for more than two years.

I don't have this idiots education but I have nearly 30 years of executive management experience and I could do better in one day than he had done in over two years.

He is out of touch with reality unless you are a radical as he is.

We need to pen the flood gates and of our oil potential and drill baby dril and at the same time use logic to find less than expensive ways to come up with energy that doesn't cost and arm and a leg and place unrealistic regulations on it's development. These solutions are available today we just have to have the will to do it.

there's also the economic collapse of the eu, which oblivious obama does not seem to be aware of

there's the cartels cruelling reaching into our cities, from phoenix to atlanta---the presidential putz doesn't even possess a talking point

there's the incumbent bankruptcies of many of our biggest cities and states, submerged in tsunami tides of impossible pensions and expanded medicaid

there's korea, always on the brink, nothing there to stop kim except american will, which you know where that leaves us

there's chinese currency, the senate again kowtowed this morning, too cowardly to call out the people's republic for what it's crassly doing

there's iran nuclearizing---when is the president gonna meet with its leaders and convert em, like he promised

there's this complete collapse of middle eastern stability, from morocco to yemen

there's health care under assault in the courts, the congress, the capitols, the committees---actions in washington reveal that all parties apparently believe the american people hate it

there's contempt of court, directives to obfuscate, obstruction of the foia

there's another half million americans dropping out of the job hunt for extremely ominous motives

there's the bottomless collapse of our housing market and worrisome worldwide inflation in food and oil

there's our incoherent escalation in afghanistan and the impossible timeline established and taken back and transitioned by our clueless commander in chief...

it really is astonishing just how incompetent is this keystone chief exec

the time is now for the leaders of this once great nation to mobilize on emergency footing, like fdr in ww2, the citizens of this republic to marshall our efforts in the determined direction of OMINIBUS ENERGY

oil, offshore, refineries, electrical power plants, natural gas, clean coal, nukes, wind, solar, tidal, butterfly wings, batteries, shale, electric cars, r&d, tax breaks for, public investment in---any vailid enterprise that promises, short term and long, to deliver us ENERGY

we are looking at a guaranteed critical worldwide shortage in this field for at least the next century

he who creates power will have the entire world at his well grounded feet

americans are chomping at the bit to act, we see ourselves as going down, we are as desperate as drowners to grasp on to any idea that promises to produce, americans will respond to our call with enthusiasm

these are great JOBS in these fields, professional, secure, with room for growth, benefits, retirement, health care

republicans have cornered the political market on obamacare, the deficit, taxes and spending...

but JOBS!

the answer is omnibus energy, national mobilization, emergency footing

political opportunities, like vacuums, tend to fill themselves

it's physics
