If you're as accurate as you were about them passing the bill in the first place then I don't think that Dem's have anything to worry about, lol.

You (like many) really don't understand the difference between a Republic and a Direct Democracy.

They are the views of their electorate. Just because a loud (misinformed) minority steps up and says we don't want that, the majority still gets to decide.

That will be pretty funny to watch...since that was the GREAT Republican idea that made it into the bill as an alternative to the public option.

I agree Prof....congress should repeal this failed Republican mandate and lets get reinstate the debate on a strong public option.

It may help them. Remember, 33% think the bill doesn't go far enough. 33% think it's OK as is. Only 33% think it goes too far. We'll see how 2012 goes.

Well, the dems have one thing going for them. The republicans cant just repeal all of this without offering some reforms to control costs, otherwise we go back to the same ole same ole that was still generating incredible cost increases in health care and health care insurance.

I agree 100% with the elimnation of the 1099 provision that was rock stupid.

There's a lot of good news. Now those senators are on record, something Harry Reid and his side did not want. A lot of Dems have been tip-toeing around questions and trying to stay under the radar. Now, their vote is cast, and they're buck-naked in front of the constituents.

I know you want to think that, but it's simply not the case. It's more like 5 percent don't think it went far enough, 25 percent think it's OK, and 75 percent are about ready to skin Congress alive.

I won't go back and get it again, but I did show exit polling presenting those numbers. I know you like to think it is clear cut but it isn't. We should also recognize that a majority want the benefits in the law, but not the things required to pay for it. Now that is a real disconnect.
