'Al-Qaida on brink of using nuclear bomb'

I would say we sacrificed more in terms of money and lives over oil than we have over al Qaeda, but that's more of my opinion on why we went to war in Iraq than anything else.

I can't argue with you there! However, I think the unreasonable fear of al Qaeda was used to generate support for war against Iraq.

Since when was the Russia government considered to be terrorist?

I get your point here..."keep American military missle defense secrets secret", but since the issue here is "terrorist getting their hands on fissle materials to constructe a dirty bomb" and not the exchange of military information between two foreign super powers - right or wrong - I don't think this particular issue fits the topic of discussion.

Weather it is Obama giving away English secret information, or Terror orgs trying to obtain materiel, this is about integrity pure and simple, and the man now occupying the WH has none. This makes us all less safe.

Well we didn't even get oil from there. But regardless, I don't know what we can really do about this. Maybe the government can act, try to make sure it's on top of certain intelligence and what have you. But it's most likely a matter of time, we've already made those types of weapons and people know how to make those weapons; it's all about assembling the materials and over any sufficient time scale; that will happen.

I don't think it was about getting oil so much as it is about how oil dictates our interests in the region. If the ME didn't have oil, we really wouldn't expend any energy there.

Agreed. But there is also the fact that the weapons need to be taken to the place where they are to be used. Preparing for a specific threat of a dirty bomb is different to preparing for a general threat.
