man it sucks. I just shoveled over two feet of snow. And I still have the rest of the driveway and its falling hard. There was two feet because of the wind. It blew the snow into certain areas and there the snow just accumulated.
He's stuck in a tree down the block about 200 feet from the house -- 20" of snow and 3-4 foot drifts. Tom's going to have a freakin' heart attack clearing a path for him back to the house.
I let him out this morning because he's a wild scaredy cat who doesn't use the litter box -- so no choice. He got under Tom's truck and Tom tried to get him back in the house; but Shorty took that as, "OMFG!OMFG!OMFG! somebody's trying to kill me!!!!" So he jumped through the 2-foot snow with Tom trying to catch him. Lesson: Cats can maneuver faster in two-foot snow than skinny white boys. Just shoot me.
Thank you, Quazi!
It's noon here in Houston, and the temperature is 28 degrees. That's mild for the north, but here in Houston, it's causing lots of mayhem. 3 power plants have bit the dust, and there are rolling blackouts over the whole area. We lost power for about half an hour 3 times today. But the best is yet to come. A blizzard is going to hit here Thursday night, and it will last until Saturday. I have been in Houston 35 years, and have never seen a blizzard here. By Monday, though, all the snow will be gone, as the temperature will be back in the 60's.
You know, I thought Michigan weather was a little weird sometimes, when I lived there, but Texas takes the cake. LOL.

My cats are content to stay in. They are sissies.
My well has been froze up since Monday. Looks like it will be that way for a while. Luckily I keep big jugs of water filled for emergencies, so have plenty for animals and my coffee.
I've been sick for over a week now and hopefully won't have to try to go anywhere in this weather. Thank goodness I still have electricity and plenty of propane. It could be worse....I could still live in Ohio.
