Uganda gay rights activist David Kato killed

BBC News - Uganda gay rights activist David Kato killed

I'm sure homophobes around the World are giving one another a pat on the back. This is what can happen as a quite direct result of irresponsible vitriol. David Kato was a very brave man.

There are some specific individuals in the U.S. who have earned themselves a considerable degree of karma with their words.

Uganda is a horrible place in general, but it's exceptionally horrible to homosexuals, who have had their photos printed on the front page of newspapers with headlines screaming, Hang Them!" It's only a matter of time until all of those who were "outted" publicly by these papers are murdered. This guy actually had the guts to sue the newspaper. I'm sad to see this happen to him, and to all the murdered people in this corrupt and bigotted country.

May this brave man rest in peace. And may the people who perpetrated this crime receive the punishment they deserve.

What a shame. May his murderers be brought to justice. My condolences to his family and to homosexuals currently suffering oppression in Uganda.

It's the truth. Homosexuality is punishable by death in Uganda. This man was beaten to death for being a gay rights activist. This is what happened, it's not hype, just hate.

The article says that the prime is the man that lived with Kato. So, we can't rule out a crime of passion.

Not saying what is, or isn't the case; only pointing out what the article says.

It also says that his image was in a newspaper among others with the title "hang them." We can't make a definitive ruling and motive, but the facts are that a homosexual rights activist was barbarically beaten to death and had his image in a news paper that called for his hanging.

Also, I would have trouble believing the Ugandan police on this case.
