this doesn't bother you a bit, does it. Not overly surprising, since your masters at MMA didn't seem to have a problem with it.

Re: Rabbis blast Fox TV for pundit's Holocaust remarks

I am Jewish, though an Atheist. Most of my posts here have been in the Middle East section and on Israel and antisemitism.
The Israel debate, 'antizionsim' is sometimes antisemitism, though Certainly Not all or even most criticism of Israel antisemitic.
I have 10 years of such posting from IsraelForum to at least 50 others.
I am Pro-Israel as anyone in the section knows and am all over antisemites.

I don't believe Glenn Beck is an antisemite.
He hates Soros beacuse he is the biggest financier of the not-just-liberal, but left, Moveon, etc, etc.
He has perhaps overdone it a bit with his imagery and allegory as Glenn Beck has this simplistic Biblically good-and-evil worldview.

Antisemites don't quote Glenn Beck. Much more likely they quote Jewish antisemites like Norman Finkelstein. ('The Holocaust Industry'), and many others of his ilk.
In fact, Most antisemitism is from the Left these days.. having replaced the Old/Paleo Right in 'prominence' in this department many years ago.

How about some Rabbis sign a petition on some true antisemites, instead of going after a target on what is probably Politcal grounds.
Their current petition no doubt helped along by a few of Soros' friends in the community. Ergo, WSJ.

Sorry, but first of all the article clearly states that the group included Reform and Reconstructionist rabbies, both of which are more liberal variants of Judaism. Second, all across the various sects economic policy could be described as more liberal.

Re: Rabbis blast Fox TV for pundit's Holocaust remarks

    Let's review, shall we?

The article told us the following:

    • A group of Rabbi's oppose Beck...
    • They oppose his use of Nazi references...
    • This stems from comments he made about George Soros...
    • They send a letter to Fox demanding he be repremanded...

Conclusion... Beck is a bad man.
    ...

Now what the article doesn't mention:

    • The Rabbi's are with "Jewish Funds for Justice"...
    • According to Jewish Funds for Justice, they are a "progressive Jewish organization" advocating social justice, wealth redistribution and are involved in community organizing...
    • Jewish Funds for Justice receives funding from George Soros...
    • Jewish Funds for Justice has 4 stories on their front page and 3 attack Glenn Beck...
    • Jewish Funds for Justice did not denounce Steve Cohen for using Holocaust terminology to attack Republicans on house floor...

Conclusion... "Jewish Funds for Justice" is a politically partisan Jewish organization that's involved in liberal activism, community organizing and promotes socialist government policies. Like with the majority of groups funded by George Soros, they exclusively target republican politicians and those in the media that express conservative/anti-progressive views, by expressing outrage when they reference in any way to the Holocaust, Nazism or WWII Germany. They don't take into consideration context when attacking someone, as shown by their attacks on Mr. Beck and defense of Mr. Soros. They do not express such outrage toward liberals, progressives, socialists, communists or democratic politicians, based on their history, and noted by their silence when Rep. Cohen used Nazi references to attack republicans on the house floor.

It's clear that this organization is nothing more than another Soros funded liberal activist group, that uses Judaism to justify their politically motivated attacks on conservatives. They should be treated with the same lack of credibility as Media Matters, and their attacks on Glenn Beck and Fox News should dismissed as nothing more than political fodder.

That reminds me.. it's almost classic.

"...The compilers are obviously of the Radical Left. But that's no reason to publish Anonymously.
    .....
...They know there are anti-Jewish Jewish groups, many with
'Jew ... Justice' as their name.
Where better to hide an Anti-Jewish document?

Why hide it at all? To quote from OCME:
"One further point: being Jewish ourselves, the position we present here is critical of Zionism but is in no way anti-Semitic. We do not believe that the Jews acted worse than any other group might have acted in their situation".
In sum, I believe OCME was compiled by Christians who thought themselves clever to hide their work under a Jewish name, the better to help the Arab cause.
The real awfulness is that there are enough Jewish groups devoted to destroying Israel that the name Jews for Justice in the Middle East makes a plausible hiding place.

I find it really hard to give a **** about most of the threads that are posted as news in this forum. Especially this one. These are the kinds of non-issues that keep partisan hatred stirred up, while keeping us distracted from the compelling and difficult issues that we need to focus on.

Don't forget "blood libel". No one else is allowed to use that term either.
