Hawaii law bars release of Obama birth info

Just a question? Why does any one care at this time about Bush's National Guard service?

Is that really all you have to say? All the railing against birfers and that's it?

There are actually multiple birther claims, all centering on whether Obama is a natural Born Citizen, but only one of those focuses on his birth certificate. The fact that his father was not a citizen is also part of the birther claims

Yeah I know, but releasing his Hawaiin documents basiclly cuts the heart out of that whole movement. It's almost like Obama owns stock in WND.

No.

There's plenty of evidence, and common sense, that already shows that he's a citizen born in this country. And yet this issue is still here.

By doing what you suggest, he'll silence a few people but by and large the birther's will do what every conspiracy movement does...deny, deny, deny.

So no, I don't believe it'll neuter them. I think it'll actually encourage them to continue with this kind of thing.

Yet all the info coming out for McCain clearing that up did the trick in less then a week. Your logic = fail.

Except it would not do so. The nuts would either just shift their attack or deny the validity. If you already believe something based on no evidence, no amount of evidence will sway you. Same is true for truthers and any other conspiracy nuts out there.

Like the folks that believe that Bush was AWOL, huh?

Pretty much. Right now there is no concrete evidence that it happened, and it is meaningless if it did. Why make a big deal out of it either way?

Yeah, it's better to give them some fuel then to deny it!

Your logic eludes me. The ONLY bit of legitimacy the birthers have, is that Obama keeps holding records back, college transcripts, BC, stuff like that. Release some of that, and the birthers have nothing and get relegated to tin foil hat land. Keep blocking the release they keep having something to point to that has at the very least some level of legitimacy. (I.E. it looks like Obama is hiding something)

Ya'll don't seem to trip on the AWOL'ers and the trufers, quite the same way ya'll do the birfers. I find that interesting.

They are not in the news as much these days and not the topic of this thread.

Let you in on a secret: you guys let the topic of this thread get moved from Obama to Bush. That is called misdirection. Now don't ever say I didn't help you.

Oh, you've already helped me more than you'll ever know.

Well the solution is pretty obvious, so obvious even Sher'f Dumb**** could figure it out.

It is time for Obama to have the records released. Not too complicated now is it?

Yes He Can... Yes He Can... Yes He Can...

J'us du ette. Plug the damn hole, or is he going to hold off for some political ploy?

.

All those birthers (I am not one of them) want to see Obama's birth certificate but... I ask myself... Where's that damn birth certificate???

What I don't get is how this wasn't put to rest before he got elected??

Don't need to. There are other and better sources. :coffeepap

Let's see them, and they better be better and not that **** we saw years ago.

Do you remember the LA riots?
If obama was denied the chance to run because of his lack of Constitutional qualifications you would have seen the same thing in every city in the US.

His birth was recorded in the newspaper. How much more proof do you really need? I understand he did provide the "short form" birth certificate.

Well, if that's the case, I guess I'll go down to my local paper and have myself proclaimed king of the world.
Is that the way it works?

Look, are you baiting someone to argue a newpaper clipping with you; or are you just not smart enough to know that anyone can post a birth notice in the paper? Is a newpaper clipping official? Then can we do away with birth certs?

I can see both sides here.

from a birther view, why is it such a big deal? Obama should just release the damn info and be done with it.

from a birthers are nutters view, no matter what info Obama releases the birthers won't be satisfied.

I dared breathe earlier that I have a question about why the birth certificate cannot be produced so I was immediately characterized as a birther. Okay, fine, then. I hereby promise and affirm that, if a verified valid vault copy of the birth certificate is produced, I will no longer have that question in my mind. Further; I will not suggest that it is a forgery, nor question why it took so long to produce. I even post an apology for allowing that question to even enter my mind in the first place.

Fair enough? Now let's see it.

Not in the case of Obama's birth notice. The Honolulu Star-Bulletin only print info from the Department of Health Vital Statistics.

Even if what you said is true, if Obama hadn't actually been born in Hawaii on that day, how would explain the existence of a birth notice in the first place? Someone just randomly decided to make a baby's name up and put in the paper for the hell of it?

good luck, never gonna happen. I'm not a birther and I'm not suggesting that the document doesn't exist, just saying we will never see it.

The Honolulu Star-Bulletin only printed what they received from the state government. You seem to be suggesting that "His birth was recorded in the newspaper. Anyone can post whatever they want in a newspaper. Therefore it isn't proof that Obama was born."

However you fail to give any alternative explanation for why that birth notice is there in the first place.

Y'know, this is a good point. It's not like they would have known he was going to be president some however many years later and would need proof he was born in the U.S.

Is this supposed to be sarcastic? Because yeah it actually is a good point.
