Hawaii law bars release of Obama birth info

First lets start off with saying that I'm 99% sure he is a citizen.
But I'm bewildered by his refusal to product his Birth Certificate, I think he enjoys the controversy, because it would be so easy to end. I'm fine with him not doing so, because I'm looking at 2012, in 2008 .. people would have elected anyone as long as it wasn't a republican. In 2012, and even now people are far more ho hum about him. Maybe he thinks that producing it then will give him a lift .. but I see it as just another thing taking him down. This is going to be brought up again, at least in blogs, in 2012, if he produces it … people are going to ask why it took him so long, if he doesn't .. well … it's going to cause a bit of a stir yet again.
For the life of me I can see no benefit in not releasing it. Some on the left are probably correct .. the far right will call it fake, or doctored, but the majority would just shake their heads … and continue on with things of importance. But I can honestly say .. the longer he withholds it .. the more people wonder what it is that he could be hiding. The whole damn thing just seems senseless to me .

Then along comes Abercrombie, who said, "I'm going to prove this once and for all", then he lied about actually, "being there", when Obama was born; then can't actually pay hands on his long form; then hides behind the law saying that it would be illegal to release it and, "there's nothing more he can do".

That definitely pours gas on a fire that was damn near all the way extinguished.

This isn't about birfers, or proving that Obama isn't a citizen. It's about Obamabots trying to end the debate and then ending up making things worse, all over again.

For the life of me, I just can't see why they won't release more information. Sure, some will keep saying its faked or doctored but I"m sure it'll make most people believe them. I mean, honestly, what's the harm? It just seems senseless to me. They should obviously indulge in all these peoples questions. Shakes head …. not really sure what one has to do with the other … but whatever. Perhaps because the law clearly states that one must be a citizen of the US to become president? Where as I'm not really sure what law isn't be conformed to with whatever it is you are speaking of.

Perhaps a few, but if the legal document is released, then it plugs the damn hole. I don't think many who question his birth would go quite so brain dead as the "Bush lied, people died crowd", of which there are many proponents still mouthing the idiocy today.

Taking further action will only give the most ardent of his detractors more pieces of paper to accuse Hawaii's government of forging.

Some of the answers for not providing documentation are very lame, and they emote a sense of fear. It's gone from... those idiots, to don't prove he's born here. Bizarro.

Obama claimed he was a uniter, would be transparent... well, this isn't either... so produce the documentation that proves the most basic requirement that you are qualified to run for president.

Everyone who isn't already 100% certain he's a citizen never is going to be convinced, because they're beyond help. You have been shown a document that is proof in a court of law that he is a citizen, and that document has been authenticated by appropriate government officials. (including some who are republican) There is no benefit to releasing the document and catering to tinfoil hatters. Those people aren't voting for him anyway.

You aren't 100% certain? Congratulations. You're a birther.

What is unfortunate is that there is, apparently, no formal and made-public vetting procedure for all of our elected officials to assure that all candidates meet the requirements of office. That would seem to be an important oversight.

What? Where did I say you said that? Of COURSE you wouldn't say that, then it'd be obvious to show you're a birther. No, you're much like the truther's who don't say that 9/11 was an inside job...they just think there are some QUESTIONS that the government really should answer, or that the government just looks bad by not answering their questions, or that you know its not unreasonable to have those questions, and other such code statements for "I"m a truther but don't want to be honest about the fact I'm a truther".

The only question I have, is why don't Obama go ahead and put this to bed, once and for all. I don't question his citizenship. Never have. I've even expressed that I hope we don't find out that he's not eligible to be president, because it would be very bad for the country; which is why I think it would be in the best interest of the country to settle the issue, for good.
