I dont know...its hard to be too upset with the illegals. Especially since we created the environment in the first place.
    Yeah, I'm real inspired too.

I find that terribly hard to believe, it's near impossible to do. Check your wife's shoes.
But get this, even if her handbag or shoes say made in Italy, it maybe have been 95% made in China, then they ship it to Italy, add a lace, and it's suddenly able to be labeled "Made in Italy". And remember, our U.S. firm may pay them $100 per bag, but then we sell it here for $1K. That $900 ends up in the U.S. economy...not bad.

If China stopped buying U.S. goods, because we stopped buying theirs, we'd both suffer. We prefer instead to work together. How is that a travesty?
China is a booming economy. If Americans do not stake a claim in that frontier, then China, the EU, etc., will. They will win the economic growth, we will lose it, and then who will you blame? China will be accelerating towards more and more freedom in large part *because* U.S. employers are able to move business there and start business there...the culture spreads, people just prefer freedom.

All a protectionist policy would do would be to ensure the U.S. stagnates and dies.

Oh, my wife does, not me. Of course it's not without its downside. I went two years without tennis shoes. I eventually found some vietnamese made ones in branson last year.

In my wife's defence tho we're old, we don't actually buy much of anything. This house is nearly 100 years old. We don't have any furniture here less than 30 years old most of it's far older than that. We buy used furniture when we need it. My coffee pot is right at 20 years old now too. My tv's are all decades old. I may be forced to buy a new flatscreen tv, but I'm holding out. I don't really watch tv anymore anyway. This computer I'm using was made in malaysia. My shoes I wear to school were made in sweden, in 1959. You'd be surprised what you can do without, if you are stubborn, and a little crazy.

In regards to china we've been on the losing end of the stick for decades. Protectionism would hurt us? This trade with china is hurting us. Pick your poison.

That has what exactly to do with the work ethics of individuals who risk everything to come to America to provide for a family?

Hell...you want to get snarky I can post pics of asshole college kids from right here in the U S of A doing the same thing.

No one is suggesting illegal immigration is a good thing. Im simply looking at it honestly.

New America should adopt a new flag. I suggest a white bedsheet on a broom stick.
