And if you're actually a constitutional scholar, then you should know full well that your silly opinion of how to interpret the Constitution is just one of many, not the immutable truth for how people should interpret the Constitution for all time.

That's fine, but this comes to a fundamental difference in how you and I view the Constitution. From my observations, you are a pretty strict constructionist. I am a Developmentalist from the Brandais/Cardozzo school. We are NEVER going to agree with how to interpret the Constitution.

I have never whined about the rich. The only time I ever even criticize "the rich" is in response to your disgusting class warfare rhetoric. I know that most rich people are nothing like you, fortunately.

life and society isnt perfect. I work hard, and have a good job that has good insurance. I don't have a duty to create a perfect solution for others nor do I pretend I can. I do know what is wrong and obamacare is wrong

You have an extremely false interpretation that all Republicans are rich and Democrats and Centrist are poor.

This list shows the richest cities in America and they are all incredibly liberal cities. My family has more money than most, and while I myself don't believe in the concept of a wellfare state or universal health care, I do believe in a portion of my tax dollars going to some social services, like healthcare, to make the country a better place to live. This whole concept of the poor are taking money from the rich is false. Some of us with money believe in a certain amount of social services.

BTW, I call myself an independent because I have voted for both Democrats and Republicans in my lifetime. I vote for the man, not the party. I don't think most on here could say the same.

I can see you feel pretty special about being a member of an internet forum for longer than me. I've been debating on political forums for years chief, I just recently came to this one, and if you're the best they have to offer, I'm not impressed.

I am genuinely curious what reasoned steps brought you to that conclusion from what TD wrote...that it's not his duty to provide others with a perfect solution, nor does he pretend he can.
I mean, aside form the fact that it's ad hom, a tool typically associated with a "thinking man's tools for debate".

Please tell me JohnnyC, if the following largest budget items (what..60% of our tax revenue?) in the U.S. federal budget are most similar to teaching fishing, or handing out fish.

1. Social security
2. Defense
3. Medicaire
4. Medicaid

I still have to pay for them. Why should I have to pay for YOUR police, fire, roads, libraries...etc. I shouldn't have to pay for you to have any of those things, whether it is State or Federal. It doesn't matter...either way I'm paying for your protection.
