The Democrats campaigned on healthcare and got toasted in the mid-terms.
Not really. Most of them either ignored it, shunned it, or meekly defended it. The most recent opinion polls show that support and opposition to the health care reform law are about evenly split, with the opposition maybe SLIGHTLY ahead. It's certainly not massively unpopular, and many who oppose it wanted it to go farther.
