Most likely it will have minimal effect. The economy is a much much larger issue most years.

Or, most probably, he noticed how the Dems got their asses spanked in November.

No matter how much he acts it, he's not so stupid that he thinks that he can get re-elected with a voting block that makes up less than 25% of the country.

Actually the majority of people supported a single payer health care bill. While this health care bill is not popular simply because of the fact that the majority of it hasn't gone into place yet, and people can't see the benefits of it. Once it goes into place, I don't people will hate it as much.

Symbolic gestures are great but don't really mean too much. How do House Republicans plan on dealing with parts of the Health law that a majority of the population support. If Republicans what to show that they can govern then they will have to do something more substantive. Simply waiting for two years in the chance (still small in my opinion) of winning the Senate and the White House is a waste of our time. I see a compromise between Republicans and Democrats in the future. If not... Well then why don't they just vote to outlaw the Democratic party. It won't pass but it too would be popular among conservatives and make headlines. Stop wasting time! It costs the taxpayers money!

    Actually, that is a lie:

Thirty-two percent (32%) of voters nationwide favor a single-payer health care system where the federal government provides coverage for everyone. A Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey finds that 57% are opposed to a single-payer plan.
