No, the won a smashing victory in spite of the fact they......, but more importantly because they are not democrats. Check the pollls, no one loves Republicans, they just fired the Democrats.

we will see what it does in 2012. Making politicians take a stand on an issue has certain value in a campaign

why is moron carolyn McCarthy trying to introduce more psychotic anti gun legislation in the house?

Independents like me control the elections now. Democrats and Republicans almost always vote for someone in their party. The large and growing base of independents will decide who will be POTUS in 2012. And boy are they fickle. In '08 you saw them go to polls with Democrats on their minds. Two years later when Obama didn't work a miracle and fix a massive recession in 24 months they went back to the polls voting for Republicans. A lot can happen in the next two years and that will decide the way independents vote. Hell, event the Tucson event boosting his polings amongst independents.

thats because you think he won because people voted for him. by and large they didn't. Obama and the Democrats won largely because a massive surge of Americans showed up to vote the Republicans out. just like in 2010, they didn't show up to vote for Republican, they showed up to vote against Democrats.

What I love is that the Republicans had control of the House, Senate and the Presidency for six years and did nothing about Health care. After ignoring the problem we were left with skyrocketing costs and 50 million without insurance. Being involved with health care I personally have seen families futures destroyed because of an illness or accident. Being also involved in Banking I can tell you that the number one reason for bankruptcy is medical bills that can not be paid. Mostly due to a lack of health care. The system was broken and the Repubicans had no ideas to fix it. If they did they had all the power to do it and waisted it.

I have concerns for the health care bill that was passed last year but at least it showed that they cared and were trying to fix a badly broken system. What have the Republicans done asside from complain about the Democrats plan.

The Democrats campaigned on healthcare and got toasted in the mid-terms. And I thought the Magical Mystery Stimulus was his signature piece...

Haha! You guys didn't change anything. The new house repubs are only on a mission to take out Obama's policies and return things to the way they were.

so you guys stopped a war that never started (with the help of libs like JFK who handled the Cuban Missile crisis) by using diplomacy, a concept which neo-conservatives today have thrown out and instead adopted the idea of preemptive warfare and aggressive foreign policy. Nice.
