It's what they tend to do. In the case of Reagan, it's possible they were correct. However, I guess if I wake up every morning and say it will rain today, i'll eventually be correct too.
Quayle and Palin were both proven idiots....there wasn't a need for the left to "branch out"...they both proved it themselves quite well.

No doubt, all republican presdent and VP are idiots or suffering from senility. Let's see our list so far:

    Reagan - senile
    Bush1 - stupid
    Quayle - stupid
    Bush 2 - stupid
    Cheney - evil
    McCain - senile
    Palin - stupid

Hopefully Cheney's designation is a sign that liberals can come up with different forms of insults.

A very nice and accurate summation of history.

One is a childish fantasy that often engenders a lifelong obsession with its unbelievable heroes, leading to an emotionally stunted, socially crippled adulthood, unable to deal with the real world. Cheney is intelligent Bobby Jindal is intelligent. Newt Gingrich is intelligent. George Will is intelligent.

Dubya is not intelligent. Palin is stupid. Quayle is a dumbass.

Which people can't distinguish between intelligence and political persuasion, again?

We don't elect presidents for their intelligence, but for their looks and for how well they're able to reinforce our own beliefs.

Well, that and how bad they're able to make their opponents look. Once elected, then the real power behind the throne begins to pull the strings.

Who could doubt that these two look presidential?

Good one! Anyone who didn't get a good laugh out of that just isn't paying attention.

The list should be more like:

    Reagan - Senile
Bush 1 - Eh....not stupid but not really very effective
Quayle - Stupid - Chosen for his looks and youthfulness....proved himself to be quite the fool
Bush 2 - The dumbest President in the history of this country
    Cheney - Evil
McCain - Not senile. Probably could have been a decent President but proved himself to be a total flip flopper and sold his integrity to the right-wing
    Palin - Enough said.
