Ron Reagan Saw Signs of Father's Alzheimer's at White House

When you talk like this, it is YOU who sounds like they have been indoctrinated into some sort of bizarre cult. It certainly isn't conservatism... at least no kind of "normal" conservativism.
ROTFLOL... but as you well know, my journey was an intellectual one, not an emotional one, and not one of worship or free rides, or the coming of the end of the world, Kool-Aid or Yes We Can faint-ins. It was a sober journey based on the greatest good for the greatest number for the longest time. I felt it my duty to be an informed citizen.

That I have fun with the left, is my way of tolerating the opposition. I truly do find my former beliefs, though well meant, to be wholly idiotic. In my defense I plead ignorance of youth.

Now, Jet threw out a barb with his cute little ditty. I thought I would return in kind because I truly would like to know how he became a member of the emotional elite, and embraced the philosophy of the stupid. Having once been a full member (no pun intended) and have revealed it (seems to irk some lefties), and explained how I moved away from it over time I would like to know how he got his head where it is now.

CC, as for your barb at "my brand of conservatism"... I'm simply a guy who believes in limited government, the separation of powers, not having unelected officials making law, not having judges making law, and following the rules laid out, the contract laid out by the founders between our government and We The People. Nothing strange about it, unless you do not believe in it yourself.

I understand you find this strange, but that's you, and you're a typical lib who embraces those who prevaricate, and who himself does it to attempt to win or shut down debate. Anything strange there? Not if you're a lib, because libs have to prevaricate to win. If they told the truth about who they are and where they wanted to go we would have a fraction of the 13,000,000,000,000 problems we are currently enjoying among other problems.

As far as Reagan goes... was he getting senile towards the end of his Presidency? Probably?
Up to his son's book, with seeming inconsistencies, that was not the standard belief. But as time passes and those in opposition seek to defame the man the Left is willing to embrace any clap trap, and even his left wing son seems willing to join in the game.

Did it matter or would it have been noticed? Probably not. There are several reasons for this. Firstly, the most important job a President has it surrounding himself with good people as advisors.
Now, the first and most important job is to have a clear vision consistent with American principles and our Constitution. Having good advisors that can challenge the president and execute his vision are important. He had both.

If Reagan was in the beginning stages of Alzheimer's, his people would have continued to do the jobs that he hired them to do. Until it got into the second stage, it probably wouldn't cause problems. Along with this, we must remember that Reagan's management style was very hands off. He hired his subordinates to do a job; he didn't "nanny" them about it afterwards.
Yes, and it goes back to clear vision, priorities and execution, but not everyone is ever going to be on the same page and he has to weigh both his vision and hat of his advisors. In the end he has the final say. It's not as if he could just leave for months or years.

Now, this had some pluses and minuses. A solid subordinate who worked well independently, would shine. An idiot who was corrupt or made uniltateral decisions that were against policy or against Reagan's wishes would be a problem. There were both types in the Reagan Administration.
In any organization of that size there will be those types.

So, though I do believe that Reagan was in the early stage of Alzheimer's, I don't think it mattered much, because of the early stage he was in, because of his management style, and because of his staff.
You do and based on what evidence? Everything reported to that point doesn't illustrate it, and if it did, with youtube and the like, people would have been all over it by now.

It's just another attempt to diminish a great President. They couldn't beat him when he was in office, they tried to paint him as an idiot, then the books of writings about his philosophy in his own hand came out and killed that, now this lame attempt.

But it's what we've come to expect of the leftists, and sadly his son seems not to be immune.
