This is a police matter, not a military matter. There is nothing militant about some shootings between civilians. There is a legal reason our military couldn't get to New Orleans during Katrina as fast as civilians wanted.

However, this is exactly my point. Things will escalate and all along we could have prevented it all by simply acknowledging that if we used our immense power to make things better at their home, immigrants would stay there.

The problems are being ignored or swept under the rug for now but it won't hold much longer.

The Drug Cartels have reached into the Mexican Military so far that before too long we might end up in a shooting war, and if it happens this is one Country that we need to keep after we win the war.

The resources of Mexico are largely untapped and very extensive. It's time to enjoy the spoils of a war rather than pay to rebuild another future enemy.

Just an FYI.

Mexico is not that rich in natural resources as you might believe. And if they are; they are the resources that are seriously not worth a lot, so what would the point be?

Well, the truth is that the majority of the American people are ignorant as to what has made this nation successful and have bought into the political grievances of the Parties. And last I checked, no American engineer, scientist, etc. is willing to work the fields so lets be a little more practical on what "America needs." With every wave of immigrants, we inject new ideas and fresh perspectives. It in invigorates our civilization and introduces a greater capacity for success. This is historical. If you wish to shut down the borders or severly cut off the imigrant life blood that has made this nation great on every level, then we may as well assume a European identity. They have spent centuries ensuring that Europe is for "Europeans" through ethnic exportation, ethnic cleansing, and genocide. Along the way, they have ensured a complete lack of immigration policies. The result is a cultural deadzone that stares inthe face of stagnation as well as a current Muslim back lash throughout Europe. Europeans are dumbfounded as they refuse to accept immigrants from a group of immigrants that no longer wish to assimilate.



You are not being practical to the reality. There is no stopping this problem. Therefore, the answer is to accept them legally through work visas, etc. This obsession over Mexicans has become exaggerated and in no way threatens the American identity. Of course, like I have stated, if we wish to lessen the illegal immigrant wave, then we must focus more on fixing the Mexican government. Give them a reason to stay and they will. But we won't do this because we are stupid. Instead we will just whine about illegal immigration as if someone somewhere has a magic wand or that some Berlin Wall or some Great Wall of China along our southern border will cure us from this "scourge."

Secondly, when the Italians, etc, came here, all they had to do was show up, be processed through Ellis Island, and they were here legally. Minus, the sick, mentally ill, etc. So, this comparison is like comparing apples and oranges.
