The congress of Honduras has approved a measure allowing referendums on once-taboo subjects like re-election and term limits, the very hot-button issues that sparked a coup against former president Manuel Zelaya in 2009.

Honduras' interim leaders weathered international sanctions and aid cutoffs in 2009, a cost they said was worth paying to prevent Zelaya from holding a referendum on such issues.

I was wondering if something like this was going to happen. Wonder if the new leader is going to quickly call a referendum on the subject in time for his re-election or if some more pliable military puppet will do the deed.
