We want her full recovery which so much would serve our need that somehow everything turned out okay after all. It didn't. It can't. Six lives lost. Fourteen lives turned upside down.

Gabby opened her eyes today and we cried and applauded. We're so glad for Gabby. We want permission to feel good again.

Do you really think dontworrybehappy was wrong? Did it feel like you and the liberals were just about to make peace up until that point?

He busted the Sheriff in that speech, now that was good.

I preface this by saying that I mean this more as an observation than a criticicm.

But much like when Wisconsin senator Paul Wellstone was killed in a plane crash, the memorial service was very "pep rally-ish". The cheering for each name of the deceased was very strange to me. And it seemed like the wrong place to be discussing democracy and rhetoric and whatnot. It should have only been about the fallen.

By the way, Gabby was not one of the deceased, and I thought it was overly focused on her, when she is not the one we were "remembering". She's still here.

I've never personally been to a funeral or memorial service where people openly cheered. Perhaps you have.

The whole thing just seemed kind of weird to me.

I thought that was kind of odd too. Maybe it was because there so many college students there.

I also thought it was kind of inappropriate that they handed out t-shirts to everyone there.

I just agreed with you. Is this the end of times or do I need to get my head checked?
No men are anywhere, and Im allowed to go in, because Im the owner of the pageant and therefore Im inspecting it, Trump said... Is everyone OK? You know, theyre standing there with no clothes. Is everybody OK? And you see these incredible looking women, and so I sort of get away with things like that.

We'll both need therapy. Perhaps we should carpool together.

I had no idea that being a president was partisan!

You gave him credit for the speech and so did I. Where was the disconnect?

If you don't think it was weird that at a "memorial" people were cheering, maybe its YOU who is partisan.

This thread is about Obama telling us this lady opened her eyes shortlly after he left. If you can't see this man as trying to portray himself as the messiah YOU are the blindest conservative I've ever spoken with. Why doesn't his doctor tell us her progress? Since when is it Obama's job? If this would have happened under Bush, and he would have said the same thing, I'd have been asking the same questions. THAT isn't partisan. Your vitriol is blind to reality, plain and simple. If you think Obama suddenly stopped campaigning, think again. His "cheerleading" speech sounded real good, but I promise, with all the cheering, it was VERY strange. And I'm NOT the only person to think so.
