That's a pretty dumb thing of her to say. Everything I've seen points to the guy just being an unstable douche that should have been in a mental ward.

You think he was cognizant of politics or had strong political views vs being a nut?

Perhaps they feel he is an extremist because he shot and killed a 9-year-old little girl.

Who knows what goes on in the minds of these opportunistic political hacks?

I don't exactly agree with Hillary's comparison. But Loughner truly was an extremist. He was on a grammar / gold standard crusade and had an agenda, and apparently targeted Giffords because of it.

Extremism is any ideology or political act far outside the perceived political center of a society

In actual fact, Loughner was more extreme than most extremists are.

Yes, that's what I was saying.

I wasn't implying that Political Correctness was at play, oh no, couldn't be that at ALL.
Climate, changes. It takes a particularly uneducated population to buy into the idea that it's their fault climate is changing and further political solutions can fix it.

no he is mentally ill. an extremist would have killed the 9 year old for being an infidel for example. not because of the grammar mind control being used on us.
