Arizona Sheriff Blasts Rush Limbaugh for Spewing 'Irresponsible' Vitriol

What does that have to do with his statement at all?

He asked for bias. I gave a recent comparative example of the left's bias when reporting these incidents.

It ain't that hard.

Not at all liblady. I have been on the road the past few days, with plenty of time to listen to a broad range of commentary, opinion, and news. I truly hope, and have prayed for the recovery of everyone surviving that horrible attack. And I think it is a terrible thing that happened.

But, don't for a second think that discourse, while being attacked from one side of the isle, at the same time ramping up the level just as you do here with your comment, isn't unnoticed.

You know what "figures" to me? It figures that the authoritarian 'progressives' didn't miss one damned beat in how they didn't even have the good sense to wait until the facts, and time for America to catch its breath before unleashing a torrent of their own brand of 'hate speech' in blaming people that had nothing to do with the events in any way. But simply attacked them because they disagree with them ideologically.

Paul Krugman, a deplorable man IMHO, wrote his attack, published by the equally morally vapid NYTimes a mere two hours after the breaking news. Some of the victims still in surgery to save their lives. That is just sick!

Every bit as sick in my mind as a Ward Churchill blaming America for the attacks on 9/11 in some seemingly altered state, rambling on about the "Technocrats" in between taking bong hits in Colorado.

So how about it liblady, do you agree with Krugman in his blame assigning when no shred of evidence backs any of his absurd claims up? Or maybe its Mike Malloy you agree with in his statement on XM the other night when he said "...These sick, scum sucking, bastard teabaggers are to blame for that little girls death! We should do that to them!..." Either way it is jaw dropping, and you have the unmitigated gaul to claim that WE care nothing for the victims?!!!!:shock: Find a mirror, and quick ma'am.

i'm serious. it's not as though dems hadn't already called for the rhetoric to be toned down, becausee they did. throughout the campaign, remember the "kill him" shouts" from the republican crowd? words CAN be dangerous, and it's worth pointing that out. i don't BLAME individual people, but it is true the general tone is becoming dangerous, and that tone, for the most part, has been set by republicans. all sides need to tone it down, and all sides need to step back and think about what happened to the PEOPLE here, the little girl, the judge, the congresswoman. they are PEOPLE, and they paid with their lives for loving our country enough to lead it, and to serve it, and to show an interest in how it works. that is something that should NEVER happen, and it's up to both sides to see that it doesn't happen again. all the bull**** we're doing here only adds to the rancor.

Why don't you start with telling the truth. No one was shouting "Kill Him" ANYWHERE at ANY TIME. Do you know the difference between Kill the Bill and Kill Him? One is a 2,700 pg pile of crap and a him would be a person.

When the news broke, she was dead. SHE was dead. Not the Rebuplican judge. The Democratic Congresswoman.

The bias has been blatant.

It was her event.

She was the reason the people were there. It was a public event. The press knew she was there. It may have taken a little bit of time for the press to get ID's on the other victims.

Your bias has you reaching for any little thing here.
 
He's WAY too far left to consider himself just a Democrat. He makes Maher blush.

He receives no support from the DNC. He's an independent.

Honestly...I get to the point where I am tired of it. Its pretty much a you suck, no YOU suck type thing anymore...I try to find a thread that interests me...post on it...even then i find myself slipping into the us v them rhetoric...I dont know...just tired of it.

Civility would definitely be nice. Then again...I simply dont listen to or watch the radio shows or tv news...so it doesnt bother me.

I'm glad you brought her up. Her father said she wouldn't want the country to change with even more regulations because of this.
For those who didn't know, she was born on 9/11/2001.

How would you know any of this if the media wasn't talking about any of the people that were killed?

you're right, i think i will follow suit. i already don't watch either side of the tv dip****s, or listen to the radio, so the incivility i see is basically here, and i do contribute to it. no more. (except maybe in the basement) thanks vance.

Your party has been so obliterated in embarassment (some realize it, other don't) that bears some level of sympathy, though I can't seem to muster it.

Actually, it's not all that strange. He was just in the wrong place at the wrong time. Gabby was the target and we know that for sure now.
That's my take on it anyway.

Switch it around...say it was a republican congresswoman who was alive but condition was tenuous and a democrat judget that died.

Do you really think the news would be spending more time talking about the judge, whose condition is done and unquestionably remaining the same, or the congresswoman. You really don't think we'd be getting continual reports about whether or not the congresswoman's conditioned changed, what her status was, etc?
If it had been a Democrat judge who had died, all the focus would be on him. There would be memorials on the news, we would know where he went to law school along with any struggles he had in life, what his judicial philosophy was, etc. The press would have made him into a martyr, and the Rep. Congresswoman would just be a footnote. Then the justification for the disparate coverage would be, well the Rep. Congresswoman didn't die.

This is as ridiculous as suggesting Palin is the Dean of everything to conservatives these days. These types of gross over generalizations and attempts to insult an entire wing of people based on over exaggerating the importance of a given individual on their views or thoughts or persons is exactly the same kind of thing the other side is doing now with regards to Limbaugh/Palin/The Tea Party.
 
So where was the "moment of silence" from Obama after Ft. Hood? Where was the "let's not jump to conclusions about the shooter" after Ft. Hood?

You are saying the media is exposed because they were reporting on a dead Democratic Congresswoman who actually was alive and giving updates to her condition over a Republican judge who was already 100% dead? Seriously you find some sort of bias in that? Stop grasping at straws.
