His crimes changed Texas and then the United States. We are all victims of Tom Delay.

    Don't be so dramatic.

I don't see it as very good news. I'm ashamed my native State allowed this to go on in the first place.

I'm glad he is being punished. Doesn't matter what political stripe a criminal is. Wrong is wrong and it's good to see this outcome.
Welfare (Food Stamps, WIC, etc...) are not entitlements. They are taxpayer funded handouts and shouldn't be called entitlements at all. Social Security and Veteran's benefits are 'Entitlements' because the people receiving them are entitled to them. They were earned and paid for by the recipients.

Actually, Texas did NOT allow this to go on in the first place. As you can plainly see, they prosecuted the crap out of Delay.

You are mixing apples and oranges here. Yea, I agree that Rangel is a slimeball, but he broke Congressional rules. Delay broke criminal laws of the State of Texas. There is a huge difference. Maybe Rangel should have gotten more than he did, but you will have to take that up with the House. Texas is a different entity entirely. Had Rangel done what he did in Texas, he would end up as Delay's cell mate. LOL. And had Delay confined his dishonesty to Washington, he probably would only have been censured.

No argument, and I'm not saying DeLay didn't deserve it. I'm just POed at what some politicos get away with.
