Gun sales skyrocket 60 percent in Arizona - Jennifer Epstein - POLITICO.com
Gun sales have probably increased out of a fear that gun control restrictions will be imposed in the aftermath of the Giffords assassination attempt and massacre.

like Chicago and DC were known as being free of murders?

England's violent crime rate went UP after they banned handguns

mexico bans most people from owning guns

once we harshly prosecute those criminals for possessing handguns, our streets will be safer

Look, if you are scared of guns-as you are-don't own one but don't try to disarm other people to salve your feelings of cowardice

you don't even know what an automatic weapon is as evidenced by that idiocy

we already harshly prosecute felons in possession of firearms-the average federal sentence is 8 years for mere possession

now that is a lot of time

but what we do know is that the nation which tolerates widespread gun ownership has over 26 times the murder rate caused by guns when compared to the nation which restricts gun ownership

    USA 3.98
    england 0.15

    homicides per 100,00 population

We also know that England had far lower homicide rates than the US even before they had any real gun control (early 20th century). It's cultural.
