Jared Loughner is being referred to as a pot-smoking loner.
 
Why should we care that some ****stain government bitch got shot again? Last time I checked I have no sympathy for those who steal, cheat, lie and murder.

The picture emerging last night of the man suspected of shooting Gabrielle Giffords was that of a loner with eccentric, if not extreme, views.

A series of YouTube videos believed to have been posted by Jared Lee Loughner, 22, indicated a focus on literacy and currency - as well as his distrust of the government.

"Hello, my name is Jared Lee Loughner," reads one of a series of sentences that appear in one of the videos. "This video is my introduction to you! My favorite activity is conscience dreaming; the greatest inspiration for my political business information. Some of you don't dream - sadly."

The video, posted on the internet on 15 December, takes an overtly political turn, lashing out at the state and emphasising the significance of the US constitution. "The majority of citizens in the united states of America [sic] have never read the United States of America's constitution. You don't have to accept the federalist laws," it says.

"In conclusion, reading the second United States constitution, I can't trust the current government because of the ratifications: the government is implying mind control and brainwash on the people by controlling grammar. No! I won't pay debt with a currency that's not backed by gold and silver! No! I won't trust in God!"

Investigators were also last night poring over copies of a MySpace page that belonged to a Jared Loughner. It was removed within minutes of the suspected gunman's name becoming public. It included a mysterious "Goodbye friends" message published hours before the shooting.

He's just plain nuts. I know pot smoking doesn't do that to you. So those in the news referring to him as a pot smoking loner are giving pot smaokers a bad name.

We need a drum roll for those front runners in the election; those illegal teachers, pigs, and politicians of yours are under illegal authority of their constitution. Those dirty pigs think they know the damn year. Thirdly, tell them mother ****ers to count from 0 to whenever they feel a threat to stop their count…Those illegal military personal are able to sign into a country that they can't find with an impossible date! How did you trust your child with them fraud teachers and front runners, listener? Did you now know that the teachers, pigs, and front runners are treasonous!

In a second video, he describes himself as defining 'terrorist'.
'If I define terrorist then a terrorist is a person who employs terror or terrorism especially as a political weapon,' the text in the video - entitled 'My Final Thoughts - Jared Lee Loughner!' - reads.

I doubt it makes you a raging schizoid like him but everyone I know that smoked pot on regular basis was erratic and moody.

and gun owners and what music was he listening too, what movies did he watch etc etc

hope he didnt have an obvious name brand products on or sports apparel.
 
So, what IS her status... the CNN website says she is still alive and that her prognosis is promising...

I hope they nail this nutcase to the wall... and I hope BOTH parties wake up and realize that the rhetoric in today's body politic is NOT healthy to the nation...

we have a similar situation here in Taiwan with the two parties and there have been two pre-election shootings in six years here, both by nutcases and at least one of them (2004) inspired by the vitriolic rhetoric here. This is BAD for democracy...

I sincerely hope she pulls through... anyone Stateside with more updated news, please keep us updated...

She's still alive and is responding to commands, so I'm tenatively optimistic.

It is amazing she is alive taking a shot point blank.
I just remember Reagan's press secretary James Brady who also suffered a gunshot to the head. It is odd as he was first reported to have died too.
James Brady is alive today I believe. Had some paralysis but mentally funtioning fine. So she still may be able to resume her life with her family.

I don't think he was targeted by the gunman because he was a Bush-appointee to the bench... he was a random victim...

Politics doesn't matter here... the person who did this is a nutcase... he needs to be given a speedy trial as per the Constitution and then executed for this...

We can all hope so. The son of former-vice president Lien Chan was shot in November while stumping for a mayoral candidate the night before municipal elections. He was also shot point blank in the head and appears to be ok... so, yes, point blank shots to the head (when poorly placed) can be survived...

This is a horrible tragedy and it really shows how low liberals are willing to go by trying to turn this story into an attack on conservatives.:thumbdown
