LOL, as I have pointed out ER usage in Boston has skyrocketed with an Obamacare type program. Why? The results in MA are an example of what is going to happen when this program is rolled out nationwide. Why are you ignoring the MA results?

    He didn't say insurance companies.

McDonalds is a good example of a company that opted out of Obamcare.

What with all these companies and unions getting waivers, how the hell is this supposed to work?

First of all, I would say that I do shirk personal responsibility. People do have different lifestyles, yet even under our current system the cost is shared. Insurance rates go up on all because of smokers and overeaters, .....whatever. We pay higher gas prices when people in their huge gas guzzlers use more than the rest and the fuel available declines. That is the market! Regardless of the setup, you are going to share in the burden and benefit.

he specifically DID mean insurance companies, as they are the companies that are affected by the limit in compensation deductions. not mcdonalds.

Not only that, but Health Care is determined to rise in cost anyway, I doubt you could find any country in the world where Health Care costs aren't rising...

But yet it's all Obamas fault....

    Go figure eh?

It simply shows there is a greater need, meaning that there is a situation for job growth, not to mention education. Not everyone who comes in needs to be in an ER. We can revamp laws, and follow the intent, that emergencies are not turned away. Those merely requring a doctor can be. And should be. Again, once we see a problem,. address the problem and not just cry that the sky is falling.

AUSTAN GOOLSBEE: I think the world vests too much power, certainly in the president, probably in Washington in general for its influence on the economy, because most all of the economy has nothing to do with the government.

So you think you should share in my healthcare costs? Thanks, send me a check. There is no logic in your stance. People that abuse their bodies make a personal choice to do that, why should the taxpayer fund their care. Want to cut healthcare costs, get illegal aliens under control. 600,000 was spent in my county alone for healthcare costs for illegals. That should be paid by the countries from which these illegals came. deduct it from foreign aid.
