The Republican congressman who is taking over responsibility for congressional oversight called President Obama's administration "one of the most corrupt administrations" on Sunday and predicted that the investigations he is planning over the next two years could result in about $200 billion in savings for U.S. taxpayers.

Issa, who as chairman will have subpoena power, said he will seek to ferret out waste across the federal bureaucracy. While he used fiery rhetoric in describing the Obama administration in a series of television interviews Sunday, he said he will focus on wasteful spending, not the prosecution of White House officials.

Obama... corrupt? Not telling the truth? Lying? backdoor deals? Chicago School? Alinsky School? Wright School? Closet Marxist? The Uniter? Messiah Obama?
Naaaah. Can't be.

ROTFLOL... Hopefully while working to get the REAL Numbers down, he'll nail two birds with one stone. My bet is that's the plan. Severe Collateral Damage.

Even a big percentage of Democrats agree with this.

But he's an excellent golfer and basketball player. Or at least he should be by now.

Next party taking over calls previous one corrupt, promises to fix corruption? End waste?

This is so NEW.

apparently you believed it, though, when the Obama crowd said it about Bush

Yep, I know it, you had to take a double check of that thanks banner didn't you....heh, heh....

But you're right. I was just thinking I have heard this all before from every congressional member that takes charge of this committee. then nothing happens of any significant level.

When Issa said yesterday that he wouldn't even seek prosecution for the Sestack issue, because he had learned that the Bush administration did it too, I nearly fell out of the truck.

I call BS! Start prosecuting them.

There should be investigations into any suspected wrong doing regardless of who, and going back as long as possible depending on how long the morons have been in office. But saying that, the investigations should only be started if there is evidence of wrong doing, not partisan bitching. We dont need another Ken Starr witch hunt.

I laughed when I came across that article. If people only knew the levels of corruption under the last administration did they'd realize that investigating...

1. Impact of regulation on job creation

2. Fannie/Freddie & the Foreclosure Crisis

3. Financial Crisis Inquiry Commission and the failure to identify origins of the financial crisis

4. Combating corruption in Afghanistan

5. WikiLeaks

6. FDA/Food & Drug Safety

...all amount to nothing.

1. Impact of regulation on job creation - How do you investigation wrong-doing here since Congress, not the Obama Administration, makes the laws.

2. Fannie/Freddie * the Foreclosure Crisis - started under Clinton, continued in earnest under GW. Bush. If anyone should be blamed for how out of control the housing crisis got it would be the GW Bush Administration. About the only thing the Obama Administration can be blamed for here is not placing Fannie and Freddie under some type of reform. But since both the Administration, HUD and the markets are still trying to sort out the mess, I doubt any partisan investigation will really get closer to the truth here.

3. Origins of financial crisis - Goes with #2 above.

4. Combating corruption in Afghanistan - Can it really be any worse than what transpired w/Iraq? Better start with the GW. Bush administration first.

5. WikiLeaks - victim of circumstances; besides, this is more a DoD issue that an Obama White House issue.

6. FDA/Food & Drug Safety - Scratching my head over this one. If we're talking about prescription drugs, how about looking into the unfunded portion of Medicare, Part-D first.

Clearly, this is a partisan hack-job. The GOP (specifically Rep. Darrell Issa, R-Calif.) is on a witch-hunt, turning over every rock he can find looking for whatever tidbit that turns up. Good Luck with that. It's the same tactic that was used against Clinton w/Ken Starr except at least there there was something to the infidelity rumors. I see nothing more going on here than politics as usual.

Next...

We have to start somewhere, and in the present is appropriate. Not only is there Sestack, but another from Colorado I believe. So, bring it, and let's see what Obama knew, and when he knew it.

His defense sucks, or he wouldn't have this...

I believe it about all administrations. I think the system is corrupt, that we've allowed it to be corrupted, and through our negligence have rewarded corrupt behavior. We won't get anything better, regardless of the R or D, till we demand better and actually move to uphold better. I had no doubt that Obama would run a crooked camp, he's Chicago. There was no reason to expect anything else.

This has been a popular meme with dittoheads. There is no comparison to Harding and Grant. Regardless of the fact that it isn't even close to being true, our he-said-this-she-said-that event-driven sensationalist media will always run this crap. During the last administration people were quoted saying "history will say this about him," etc. It isn't news.

It is if in going forward Obama get nailed in something.

Its ISSA for god's sakes....the guy has zero credibility here in California. He tried to buy the Governorship and then literally cried when Schwarzenggar entered the race.

When I read ISSA....that's all I needed to hear to know that this "scandal" has no legs whatsoever.

Doubt if Allensky tactics will work on him at this point dude.

Arrive at the conclusion first, hope the evidence appears later. Sounds like a plan.

No Fitzgerald witch hunts, either?

Bush was an idiot. Thank god he’s gone.
Obama is a calculating liar. I’ll be happy to see him go too.

What? Who's doing that? Maybe that is how liberals come to their conclusions, but we don't.

While I don't like most of Obama's policies, I'm just saying that this guy provides no evidence whatsoever to prove that Obama has "one of the most corrupt administrations."
