Glad to know you've determined guilt already in this case. Might I ask where you got your complete information from?

You're losing me. Nobody mentioned posting of pictures. From your link it does note that the suit claims the body was posed in different positions, which I referenced. Which I would suspect is either a distortion or a fabrication of what actually happened.

Lawsuits against Cook County are common. They pay out millions a year. A novel/outlandish one like this may have good chance of quick settlement just to stop it from ending up in a courtroom. Chicago juries tend to give out bountiful awards....

You didnt read the whole thread DID you? Now although Im 99% positive they did what is said they MIGHT have done it for legit reasons..... but I very highly doubt that.

There are MANY more legit resons why Cook County should be sued. The coruption and abuse they dish out to the public (and certain corporations) is astronomical. And I have 0.0005% doubt that the cops did this. People dont realize the **** cops in Chicago get away with. In some cases they are as dirty as the crimials.

You are right... I don't know what happened, but assuming it's true and this officer disrobed a corpse and took nude photos is disgusting, and the only motive I can think of is some type of perversion.

Yup. It sickens me. Not only should they be fired... they should be in prison or at least have a misdemeanor on their record. Its a horrible thing man. And Im tired of seeing the corruption in Cook Country. Its at minimum a weekly event. But this is a new one.

Actually, I did read the whole thread and there is no conclusive evidence that anything happened exactly as this lawsuit is alleging. Also, you’re the only person who mentioned posting pictures…

I agree that if proper procedures were not followed or if there was misconduct then, by all means, the guilty parties should be punished. However, there is no concrete evidence of wrongdoing as of yet, and as someone who deals with lawsuits quite frequently, I can assure you that very often the allegations made in suits are overblown to the largest extent possible.

I don't have all the facts yet, but the cops acted stupidly.

Stupidity is not the same a gross misconduct.

I'll never understand why so many people automatically swallow anything that anyone includes in a lawsuit. Why would you assume that these people are telling the truth? Probably 99% of lawsuits that contain outlandish claims are manufactured out of whole cloth.
People sleep peaceably in their beds at night only because rough men stand ready to do violence on their behalf.

We are not in a courtroom right now... and courtrooms are public for a reason, so when the case goes to the court we'll know their verdict and why
