Of course Saudi Arabia is battling 'extremism' and 'militants' but themselves are Radical Fundamentalist Wahab Muslims.
Same in Shiite Iran. (It's as if, and MUCH WORSE than if Falwell/Robertson you whine about ran a country.)

People in these Islamic countries and even more 'moderate' ones are persecuted or punished for such things as not dressing conservatively enough or changing religions/apostasy.
The latter a Koranic Capital crime.

You and others mix-and-match and excuse away behavior for Islam what you condemn for Christianity.


If there's an abortion clinic bombing in the US, should I then take your logic and wonder why every other Christian in the world is not trying to stop Christian fundamentalists? I'm sorry, but reality is not that ridiculous.

There's an abortion Clinic bombing about once ever 5 or 10 YEARS.
People die EVERY DAY from Islam/Islamism.
People are lashed, stoned, amputated, hung, or blown up, by Islamic governments and their peoples Every day.
(and there have been many more beheadings alone than abortion clinic bombings)

Christian Fundamentalists run NO Country while Islamist theocracies -Shariah Punishment EXTREMISTS- run Many in Full or part.

This double standard and DOUBLE SPEAK is ridiculous.

double standards indeed. seems some are ok with actions in their own country but not others.

take the US for example. how any country can murder their own citizens and still claim to be civilized is beyond me. the US still has state sanctioned murder. considering most democracies in the world have abandoned the death penalty i find that just as barbaric and disgusting as i find lashing/stonings/beheadings. state-sanctioned murder is murder too. it's that simple.

Ahhh, so you equate the execution of a "person" that brutally murders an entire family, including little children, with the stoning to death of a woman accused of adultery ???

Or the beheading of a journalist that committed no crime or offense ???

no, i'm equating some blood thirsty americans who are so critical of other countries, when they turn a blind eye to what's happening in their own backyard.

and surely you're not trying to suggest that innocent people have not been executed in the US?

Lets check the news today and see how many abortion clinics were bombed. Lets see when the last time it occured. Care to take bets on who the perpetrators of the next suicide bombing will be? Or the next time a bunch of school children are slaughtered just because they are Christians...care to make a wager over who will cause that? The next time a bomb explodes at a market and kills innocent women and children, care to take a stab at who will be responsible? And when it does occur...how will citizens respond? Outrage, or dancing in the street claiming a great victory for Allah? Your pathetic attempt at diversion should cause you embarassment. I highly doubt it will. Naive? Pshaw...you arent naive. Dishonest...sure. But Naive? No...

Couple that with 12 Somali's arrested in the Netherlands on Dec 25th.
Add the other 12 arrested in the UK on Dec 20th for terrorist plots

The targets seem to be coming more from inside the country than outside. I'm also seeing (possibly) a trend to attack Europe more and more. I didn't include the successful bombing in Sweden over this same cartoon issue from 2005. The West may not be at war with Islam, but a certain portion of Islam sure is at war with us.

To bad their asses can't be deported to some middle eastern or African country still living in the dark ages seeing how these Islamonazis think blasphemy should be a crime. They should be stuck in a prison where the only thing facing mecca are the toilets,not allowed to practice their own religion and forced to pork.

Some illiberal people have set about to defend Islamism at any cost, and so stop at nothing by way of crafting these sorts of dishonest moral equivalncies. These sorts of knee-jerk reactionary statements are down right Pavlovian, as is doesn't matter what various Muslims do -- they just cannot resist defending the practices, so they set their sights on different sorts of actions or attitudes in the west and start applying blame.

This sort of formulaic finger pointing is the product of a form of cultural self-loathing as people are so paralyzed by the fear they will be considered racist if they reject the barbarity of any people not their own that they are only capable of attacking western people, western ideas and western groups.

This is all eerily similar to the left's propaganda efforts during the Cold War when it was claimed that the Berlin Wall was designed to keep people out, the Gulags were only re-educational camps, and their favourite comeback then, as now, was "Oh yeah, what about the Indians?" The abortion clinic argument is also often used to explain away the actions of terrorists, or other antisocial criminal behaviour.

Only when the United States itself is perfect (and of course it never will be in the eyes of the Leftwingers) can the American people ever complain about atrocities committed elsewhere. And of course it remains "arrogant" for the American people to defend themselves.
