It's about what's going to happen to America. America needs unity. America can't have unity. It will only have division. Division will lead to paralysis. Paralyzed nations are overtaken by other nations which are not paralyzed.

It seems to me your anger would be better if it were focused at the party that has set a record for filibusters, much of it against bills that they introduced themselves.

I don't mean to get in between a flame war (I am in enough of them myself) but I have some knowledge of this area of law-albeit not substantial and it is my opinion that Megaprogman has not engaged in such activity. Now that might be your real name Albert-we don't know and he has not defamed you professionally or made a comment about your virility etc. I don't see any evidence that he actually claimed that you were doing drugs. I don't see any intent to cause harm or any knowledge on his part that it is false

At best he could be seen as posting an opinion which is normally not actionable. See Gertz v. Welch, Inc 418 US323 (1974) The intent to cause harm would be almost impossible to prove given the way he phrased it

He has not accused you of the matters which are defamatory per se such as having a loathsome disease (like claiming you have AIDS or Herpes) professional misconduct or incompetence, or that you have a criminal record

I worry when people on boards like this try to stifle debate by making such claims. I have had several people claim I am incompetent as an attorney (the fact that turtledude is not my real name prevents me, along with common sense from complaining). I really suggest for the good of the board that such threats not be made.

And I would note that politically, you and I often agree while Megaprogman usually do not. Trust me, If I believed he had done something illegal or defamatory I would have called him on it

Besides all this, to prevail at such a claim, you'd have to prove actual damages.

Not to be nitpicky, but when people say "Chinese", they typically mean "Mandarin". This is true in both English and Chinese. When I say 中文 (lit. Chinese writing) in Mandarin, it is understood that I mean "Mandarin Chinese."

Also, Tibetan, and Uyger are not forms of "Chinese"
