I hope I am wrong in saying this and please correct me if I am... but after reading many of your posts I feel that your attitude is one of "its my America or we will bring the mother down" ...

does that sum up your very strong negative feelings?

There are two novels that can change a bookish fourteen-year old's life: The Lord of the Rings and Atlas Shrugged. One is a childish fantasy that often engenders a lifelong obsession with its unbelievable heroes, leading to an emotionally stunted, socially crippled adulthood, unable to deal with the real world. The other, of course, involves orcs.... John Rogers

The financial instability makes America very vulnerable to corrosive dissent doesn't it? The standard of living for the average young American is going to decline noticeably. The country is riven with division. And your side now has an internal enemy that is focused on leftism. Whatever it takes to take you folks down.

What your saying then is Facisim will prevail.Got it.
The haggardness of poverty is everywhere seen contrasted with the sleekness of wealth, the exhorted labor of some compensating for the idleness of others, wretched hovels by the side of stately colonnades, the rags of indigence blended with the ensigns of opulence; in a word, the most useless profusion in the midst of the most urgent wants.Jean-Baptiste Say

I'm full of bad juju, and I intend to give every little bit of it to the American Left. Right in their faces.

Oh!! What language do you suggest I start learning? As I shoot an e-mail off to my broker buying shares in “RST.”

I don't buy the "sweeping changes".

McDonalds too had an idea to make chicken healthy again, so instead of frying it and putting it on a bun they tossed it in a salad. Sure, the looks of a salad seem more healthy than a fried piece of chicken between buns, but the caloric intake and fat remain about the same if not more when one adds in the toppings.

What I am trying to say is that nothing fundamental is changing about Congress. The problem with our House is not that their procedures suck; that was debated during the Founding conventions. The problem is that they are disconnected from their constituents and are slaves to the DC lobbyists who take them out to dinner and hire them an escort for a Congressional orgy, or the Corporates who pay for their campaigns.
"I do not underestimate the ability of fanatical groups of terrorists to kill and destroy, but they do not threaten the life of the nation. Whether we would survive Hitler hung in the balance, but there is no doubt that we shall survive al-Qa'ida." -- Lord Hoffmann
