Despite uneven progress in Afghanistan, Vice President Joe Biden said next summer's planned withdrawal would be more than a token reduction and that the U.S. would be out of the country by 2014 "come hell or high water."

Biden's prediction appeared to go further than statements by his boss, President Barack Obama, who just last month said there would be a reduced U.S. footprint in Afghanistan by 2014 but that the number of troops that would remain was still in question.

Biden previously said the same thing about the June 2011 withdrawal date. Biden is a buffoon.

Obama and Biden will end up be responsible for countless American deaths in vain.

I agree with you 100%. The war will not end in 2011 or even 2014, NATO has made plans to stay there fore quite some time.

NO, Obama looked us in the eye and said summer of 2011 the troop withdrawal begins.
and he said it in the context that the mission would be accomplished and the term "draw down" would just be a formality of terms.

and he will be held accountable if that doesnt happen

of course he looked in the camera and said Gitmo would be closed last January too.
and that unemployment would be below 8% by last summer.
should I go on? of course not, some are still dreaming of the hope and changy thing.

I'm keeping track for everybody so dont bother

Let's get the troops home in one piece first, and then there will be time to make Obama twist in the wind. If he won't bring them home, we must make it impossible for him to govern this country.

If Biden a warmonger himself thinks he's fooling anyone with this then I got a bridge to sell you. Hell the national debt will be paid off before we're out of Afghanistan.
 
What is with Biden and this incessant need for an absolute "deadline".

Let's say it was the case. Radical Muslims will lay in wait for however long they need to. Now, they just gear their operations for the spring of 2015.
