I have held onto tie down chains on the deck to keep from being washed overboard Navy. Admittedly this was only once during winter off the coast of Normandy, but you don't under\stand carriers. Sailors on little boys have it so much better.

Our soldiers already have plenty of "sensitivity training." I imagine any additional information will just be incorporated into the classes they already attend.

Soldiers already shower with gay men. They're just going to have to suck it up.

Bull crap, NP. It does not feel like home on a carrier. I have never been woken up for watch at home, just to bump my head on a light or the bunk above me. I have never had to run from my bedroom to anywhere in my house because of a drill, either GQ, man overboard (would be quite funny to hear inside a house on land though), or plant drills. I don't have to worry about not getting to eat dinner (especially Thanksgiving dinner) at home because I didn't make it to the early chow line in time. Plus, at home, I don't have to worry about signing up to do my laundry. Nor do I have to worry that my showers will be either freezing cold or burning hot for weeks on end because of the temperature of the seawater around me (so there really isn't anything that can be done about it).

No, because the two cannot be divided like that. It's like saying you hate tallness in people, and think that it makes a person inferior, but you don't hate tall people. If you act with malice towards a person, you have hate in your heart, regardless of how you describe it. And yes, trying to keep people as second class citizens counts as malice.

I would question all second hand information. Where I got the information from and the believability of the story would be be what determined how much I bought into the story. Even some one I knew to be honest telling me a completely believable story would be worthy of question.

I have done some research into the situation with the British military since they allowed gays to serve openly, and found no evidence that it was overrun by flamboyant gays. In fact, the numbers suggest otherwise, as most gays in the British military are at best selectively open about their sexuality, with some never actually admitting to it, and most only to trusted individuals. Data from either the DoD investigation or the RAND revisit of their investigation into gays in military is my source. You can trust me or I will dig up the data for you.

I have seen waves over the mast and the port side 01 level crushed and 3 feet of water in my berthing compartment with the ship taking 45 degree rolls............

This attitude is why I generally surmise homophobia to be primarily about dick fear. It isn't a true belief that sexuality should only exist between people of different genders, it's just being freaked out by other dudes' penises. This attitude is usually also held by men who think that gay men want to hit on them, molest them, or rape them. It's small minded men who cannot handle that other men have penises and use them.

You do not understand Orthodox Christianity. Is it difficult to understand that, according to my religion, I find the sin(not the person) to be disgusting? You make the fallacy that it is action with malice, and then you continue your slide from there. Why do you even speak to me on religion?

I will admit you have and unusual perspective on the issue........Most women I know are diagusted by male gay sex but whatever floats your boat..........:)
