Edit: On second thought, you can call me an Obama Conservative. Obama is the father of radical conservatism.
"Radical Conservative"??? Please explain this. It looks like an oxymoron. In my experience "Conservative" is synonymous with "reactionary". I would be very pleased to discover some new approach to understanding that I wasn't aware of.

The gay marriage thing is going to be fascinating in the military now. Will gay couples married in Vermont qualify for spousal benefits? It'll cause problems with a gay couple in Texas. Perhaps it'll will be the driving course for gay marriage a couple years from now.

Living standards have been declining since the 80's.

But the borrowing covered that up. The borrowing was from the future. So to some degree future opportunities were used up for present consumption.

Though I disagree with their lifestyle, let them be blown apart for us.

We'll have to see how the military is affected by it.

Should our military copy Britain's military and its forcing soldiers to play homosexual, I could imagine a massive backlash.
