Um no. Have you ever served?
Yep!
Six honorable years in the US Coast Guard.
Thank you very much!

Hail to moderate conservatives! Is that better?
They still serve though. They're just not open.

That won't be changing with this repeal. Further, they can be asked from what I understand now.
Beats me why we can't waive a lot of physical limitations, especially those minor ones that keep volunteers out of the service. It's not a good idea to do so post-any surgery/gender alteration, since it is something that they ask about and consider lying about if they find it after the fact.
Although, I'd say that this might open the door to medical waivers (with service limitations).
It's a shame really.
So, does it look like DADT will be repealed by the end of today?
30 hours of debate, vote sunday nite (they say)

This was waived. The vote takes place in 10 minutes.
Unless he doesn't sign it...which seems unlikely, to say the least...It has already been officially repealed by the senate. It will now await President Obama's signature!
DADT is NOW a DONE DEALl!!!

This seems like a Win-Win for the Dems.
They get to say "The repubs didn't vote for it in the senate" (which is true, the first time?), AND they get the repeal.

That was a prelim, it is being formally voted on right now.
Then how does HRC have the results already?
He has repeatedly promised that he would indeed sign it if it ever got to his desk. I hope he lives to sign it!
With all the crazy-a$$ hate mongers out there, I just can't believe that we've arrived at this point in my lifetime!
I swear to god, I love this country so much!!!
I'm getting confused. Weren't you opposed-ish?
People with ambiguous genitalia . [/B]
This stand alone repeal should pass, and it's great news.
Yikes! Im getting to that age when my genitalia is taking a lot longer to make up its mind.
I hope that won't keep me out of the army.
