The only thing bad is the calorie content, a portion control issue, so throw out one meat patty, half the fries, exclude mayonaisse, and it is a fairly balanced meal.
Portion control, aka quantity, is a bigger issue than the quality of the foods.
    1 big mac, = 540 calories 1 large fry= 500 calories 1 large coke 32 oz 310 calories
    grand total

    1350 calories
    54 G fat
    14 g saturated fat
    1410 grams sodium
    194 g carbohydrates
    10 g fiber
    30 g protein

The real question is, whats healthy about it? If you think that slice of processed cheese counts as dairy, I think you're losing it a little my old friend

It's not what you eat, as much as it is how much you eat.

The scariest issue with alot of our food is the sodium content, the amount of salt we intake on a daily basis is a big contributor to coronary Heart disease.

Well, there are a lot of 'what if's' in that paragraph, but we do already have a dept of children services that follows up on claims like this, in this case the original charges that were the catalyst of the story were found to be without merit.

Would you agree that there is a point were it is a step too far when speaking about the rights of the individual vs the power of the government?
Well of course I agree to that. Like I said, I'm not advocating the government takes your kid if they're a little slow to lose their baby fat. While more than likely the controls we have in place work horribly, we can probably agree that the controls are reasonable in theory. Like in this case, a doctor decided the parents were endangering her health.

However, it doesn't address the overall issue of childhood obesity. I suppose to start, I have to ask if you even consider it an issue.

Or they can eat the salad that the government is providing for them for free. It's not poison. I've counseled plenty of Marine wives on how to apply for WIC and not one of them complained that the government wasn't giving them twinkies. I might be a liberal, but beggars can't be choosers. If the kids dislike free, nutritious food that much, one of the parents better get a second job.

It's more then a little what you eat. Skinny does not equal healthy.

That's the only think I can't give up. I'll eat nine servings of veggies a day. I'll have red meat once a week and fish twice a week. But damn it I like my food salty!

Me too dude, I'm terrible, I'll even put salt on my ham sandwiches which already has a hefty sodium count lol Started puttin pepper on as well.

Honestly I think if I wasn't a green tea addict my diet would have killed me

Just like overweight doesn't equal unhealthy; but that's not the stance that the Liberals are going to take. Is it?

Did you read the article? This guy not only lost 27 pounds, but his bad cholesterol went down and his good cholesterol went up. His triglycerides went down by 39%. Is that healthy?

Actually it does, it puts strain on your organs. for example, there is a guy at my work who otherwise is healthy, but severely obese, and has to sleep with some kind of a breathing device because his weight weighs down on his lungs, making it harder to breathe, especially during sleep.
