Notice that the left's "raising revenue" solution is always to take more money from the other guy

I don't see any of the left answering the question as to how much "extra" money they are sending to the govt. to help them with that debt? You are right, it is always someone else's responsibility to pay for their irresponsible spending. Highest deficit on record is the result. Where is the TARP repayment and unused Stimulus money?

Those of us on the left have provided that answer. We want to send the extra 3% increase on the wealthiest 2% of Americans to help the government. How could you have missed that one?

How does sending someone else's money to the govt. help the govt? Help them do what? Why don't you send more of your money to "help" the govt?

How about we make it voluntary and see how much rich democrats send. Like Kerry and Rockafeller and Pelosi and Boxer and Reid and Obama.

The tax legislation that congressional Republicans and the White House have agreed to will include extensions of the biodiesel and ethanol subsidies through 2011, says Iowa. Charles Grassley, the ranking Republican on the Senate Finance Committee. The $1-a-gallon biodiesel subsidy, which lapsed at the end of 2009, would be retroactive to this year, he said.

Add-ons turn tax cut bill into 'Christmas tree' - Yahoo! News

Republicans generally liked that agreement, worked out by Obama and GOP leaders. Democrats generally didn't, hence the add-ons.

    From your link

The tax agreement, which would extend the Bush-era cuts in income tax rates for two years, has angered Democrats in both the House and the Senate, including Iowa Sen. Tom Harkin. “The deal that was struck is not the best deal for our country,” he said. He did not rule out ultimately voting for the bill, however. “Things can change in the next few days. We’ll see what changes are going to be made,” he said. In addition to wanting the biofuel subsidies continued, Harkin also is concerned about an expiring subsidy for wind energy. As of today, an extension of that subsidy was not going to be included, he said.

Actually, its a 10% increase, as their taxes were going to increase by 10%. If you were trying to be even half honest, you would at least look at their income after taxes, which with state taxes, FICA, etc., is barely half their pay to begin with.

What you endorse is voting yourself largesse paid for by others. That is not a winning solution. It also makes it rather hard for others here to take you, or any liberal who espouses this type of failure, seriously. You are for spending other people's money. You have essentially no skin in the game. Legal theft is all it is.

Our progressive framework is slanted enough against those who earn and produce. Raise everyone's taxes by the same percent of income, or raise no ones.

What are they actually producing? Seems that China is doing that. Should we give the Chinese a break on tarriffs?
