Pentagon: Letting openly gay troops serve won't hurt military

Not the same thing is it. If they serve, they have a right to be treated the same.

Where is that law. In the military you have the right to obey what your told no other rights

Seeing as how homosexuals as a group are entirely normal, rational, and autonomous human beings, only ignorance and stupidity would keep anyone from recognizing them as normal.

It is immoral and not normal

Yes it will. Gays will talk and others will have to listen

This is nothing but paranoia, is someone doesn't want to listen, they don't have to listen. Homosexuality will be treated the same as heterosexuality.

You are wrong many times in the military you can not leave a certain area

Me and the Bible

Well in my reading of the Bible I have come to believe otherwise.

Besides the Bible has NOTHING to do with this debate.

This is not true. You do still have rights in the military.

It is immoral and not normal

Immoral is a personal judgment, not objective. You are a veteran, which is also not normal in that most people are not.

more like units expecting to see combat don't want to deal with the added trouble; which is why they poll so differently.

Don't suppose you have an equally comprehensive study?

It is immoral and not normal

Your statement is incorrect. First of all, there is no psychiatric or scientific evidence to back up your claim that homosexuality is 'not normal'. Basically, you are operating on nothing but opinion. That's all well and good until you have to make a case for it in the public realm, in which case it must be proven. Since there is no scientific research which unequivocally demonstrates that homosexuals as a group are any more normal or abnormal than their heterosexual counterparts, then we can safely say that your opinion is false.

Regarding your immorality argument, that's bunk - plain and simply. You can arbitrarily choose whatever you think is moral or immoral, but others can certainly disagree with you. I personally think that folks who demonize and belittle homosexuals based on nothing else besides their sexual orientation are immoral.

what is to believe otherwise. Homosexuality is an abomination to God. Neither does rights since in the military you have very few rights. You become the property of the US government

Your blog source uses WND to support it's claim.

So what that does not make it wrong. This shows me you have no answer. The GLSEN has great influence over what is taught in public schools

I disagree. I would say there are many more veterns than gays

what is to believe otherwise. Homosexuality is an abomination to God.

Since God doesn't exist, problem solved. But if he did exist, he could get over it.

Me and the Bible

Well, since your opinon is worthless, and the Bible is about morality and not evidence, you have nothing. Good to know.

merits aside, it is common perception that unless congress acts in THIS lame duck, dadt is doa under the new house delegation

that is, leadership needs to act NOW or NEVER if this matter is to be resolved outside the courts, the president's repeatedly professed preference

fortunately or unfortunately, leadership here, as elsewhere, is lacking

On World AIDS Day, the man who first sounded the alarm about the AIDS epidemic and shamed the government into action for a decade, had some choice words for President Obama. In an interview with the New York Daily News about growing older with HIV, Kramer, now 75 and writing a novel about America and AIDS, offered up his views on the current president.

“Mr. Do-Nothing Obama will say today ‘Lets think of all the poor dead people’- or ‘let’s honor all the dead’ instead of fighting for the living. "He has been really useless in terms of both HIV and gay issues. An exceedingly large disappointment to me, how useless he has been. He is simply not a leader. He may be president, but he is not a leader.”

On World AIDS Day, Larry Kramer, who first warned of epidemic, rips 'Do-nothing' Obama

do you disagree?

either way, it's doa, as mitch mcconnell, on behalf of all 42 united, today declared in writing ALL legislation LAME until congress deals with its exigent responsibilities

ie, resolution on the 2011 income tax and continuance of the various appropriations, which expire december 3, required to keep the govt operating, after congressional leadership inexplicably punted, offering NO BUDGET resolution for 2011

NationalJournal.com - GOP Will Filibuster All Bills if Taxes, Budget Not Addressed - Wednesday, December 1, 2010

Dems won

finally, i hope it is not wandering too far afield here to note, today being AIDS day, that george w what's-his-name, say what you will about him, was a model of compassion, concern and caring when it came to this scariest of scourges

Rock star Bono praises Bush for AIDS plans

indeed, george w, if you look at him dispassionately, may be recognized as, perhaps, one of the leaders in all world history when it comes to combatting hiv

and he acted upon his humanity, if i recall correctly, with pretty much universal support from republicans across the country

stay up
