If New Leftists get behind a small govt., balanced budgets, virtually no social welfare or entitlement payments, and neo-isolationism then fine. If they support Obamacare they gotta be discredited. If they support anything but the tiniest of federal governments then there will be unpleasantness. If New Leftists insist on an open border there will be no further need for a single America.

You also know that in the same executive order, Ford made it illegal to leak classified information. Whatcha got to say about that part? Or, do you still consider illegally leaking classified docs as free speech?

BTW, the order says, "political assassination". It wouldn't be illegal to kill Assange.

It's their money. So, IOW, if the government is going to make people pay into social security, with the promise that they can get it back when they reach a certain age, then by god, they should get it back.

That's great in theory but the problem is that the government often spends that money on other stuff. Politicians only worry about being elected now, not what happens to the voters 30 years down the road.

I pay into the system but I'd be crazy to think that it would be there when its time to collect. If it's there great. If not then I'm ready. It's too important an impact on our lives to be left to the whims of politicians.

Why people trust politicians to do look after their health, their old age, their schooling, or even delivering a letter, knowing that they tend to lie and cheat, has always been something of a mystery to me.

I agree, which is why it wouldn't bother me at all, if the government scrapped SS and I didn't have to take money out of my pocket to pay into it.

NY Times science writer refused to post the ClimateGate documents online, but the NYT has no problems posting US State Dept docs online. Does anyone else see what's wrong with this picture????

You say here that it was the science writer that refused to print the ClimateGate docs. Was the science writer also in charge of deciding if the US State Dept docs should be printed? If not then nope.

I think it's the CIA feeding Wikileaks the information and Wiki is coordinating with the media to publish it. Most of the information only seems to confirm what people already knew.

Shouldn't the media be held just as culpable as Wikileaks for publishing the information? After all, they are the ones who are cherry picking and verfifying what to publish.

What the Wiki documents reveal is that one of the US's supposedly closet allies in the ME is funding the terrorists and at the same time goading the US to attack it's enemy Iran.....just like it did to it's other enemy, Iraq.

Even more revealing is the Obama administrations use of diplomacy and harsher sanctions is having more of an effect on Iran than threats of military action....

I think the Wikileaks may have helped bring Iran to the negotiating table with a much weaker hand. In fact, it wouldn't surprise me if that was the main reason for the leaks. The rest of it just fodder for the National Enquirer.

I'm not going to stop the blame game. I am only too happy to join you in throwing Bush, Cheney and all of the other leftist shibboleths under the bus. They don't hold power any more.

Stupid Obama holds power. He's the target because he is the living breathing embodiment of leftist governance. He looks like a fool along with Hillary Clinton. This drum beat won't end no matter what happens to Bush.

There are many versions and visions of America. Some of them are compatible and some are hostile to each other. Each is legitimate, but they are under no obligation to each other.
