U.S. nervously awaits next WikiLeaks

Yes. I'm referring to Obama in his representative capacity. Obama is the living, breathing embodiment and incarnation of Leftist Governance.

Yeah, but now I can also suggest you are on the side of anti-Americanism, due to Wikileaks' desire to make sure that the policy-making, diplomatic, and military arms of the United States are weakened by these leaks.

Yeah, but now I can also suggest you are on the side of anti-Americanism,....

Which version of America? I'm loyal to my vision of the country. But there are many visions of America some of which are hostile to each other. I have no use for leftist America. If that's the version of America to which you refer, then you are correct.

Your belief that this impacts leftist America is short-sighted. It impacts the maneuverability of a center-right America as well.

No pain, no gain. Leftist America stands in the way of small govt. and balanced budgets. Leftist America must be disempowered here at home even at the cost of foreign reverses.

You ironically sound like a New Leftist.

I wonder how it feels to be Assange knowing that there are professional assasins near him at all moments now who simply wait for their government's green light to end his life in a split second. And I feel sure not all of these folks are native English speakers by now. I am not advocating this as I would hate to see him be turned into a martyr.

Perhaps his magnificent hubris protects him from this cold, hard and ever present fact.

TEHRAN — Unidentified assailants riding motorcycles launched bomb attacks early on Monday against two Iranian nuclear physicists here, killing one of them and prompting accusations that the United States and Israel were behind the episode, state-controlled media reports said.

The dead scientist was identified as Majid Shahriari, a physics professor at Shahid Beheshti University in northern Tehran, whose wife was injured when a bomb attached to his car was detonated remotely. A second professor at the same university, Fereydoon Abbasi, was injured in a separate, simultaneous attack. His wife was also hurt.

Iranian media reports said the attackers attached bombs to the cars of both academics and detonated them from a distance.

The semi-official Fars news agency declared: “The United States and the Zionist regime perpetrated a terrorist attack on two professors at Shahid Beheshti university.”

Some unofficial Iranian media reports, controlled by hardliners, described Mr. Abbasi as a loyalist supporter of the Iranian regime involved in nuclear research at the Defense Ministry and said both scientists were from the nuclear engineering department of Shahid Beheshti University.

Mr. Shahriari was said in some reports to have taught at the Supreme National Defense University, run by the Iranian Army.

Iranian media accounts called the attacks terrorism.

The attacks were similar to a bombing last January in which a remote-controlled bomb killed another physics professor, Masoud Ali Mohammadi, outside his home. The Iranian authorities also blamed that attack on the United States and Israel — a charge the State Department in Washington rebutted as absurd.

You do know it is illegal for US operatives and the US to assassinate people right? Ford kinda banned it...

Eh? what on earth does this have to do with the wikileaks thing?

well, the assassination comes one day after wikileaks releases the cables, and they're both working for Atomic Energy Organization of Iran. they're most likely informants who got spotted and killed by Iranian Intelligence Ministry. at least the style matches their previous assassinations.

Boy that is one hell of a stretch lol. And considering it is not the first assassination, then linking them to wikileaks is ...

You need to stop with the "you do know" ****.

And you need to read up on your own countries executive orders... Ford and Reagan both signed off on this ban, and as far as I know it has not been removed.

It has in effect been removed

The US will now use drones to assassinate people

Not officially and technically. It depends on how you define "political assassinations". The drone attacks are on military targets and not political targets. The wiki-leaks guy would clearly be a civilian political target.

And why not?

They have now inserted themselves in the war on one particular side and must be prepared for the consequences.

This guy should be hung by his toe nails.

Enemy combatant of the United States. Might as well have bombed us.

Kill him.

Oh, well since it's illegal...

Many things in the real world are illegal but the democracies also have to fight back when their interests are being threatened.

"People sleep peaceably in their beds at night only because rough men stand ready to do violence on their behalf."

You do know it is illegal for US operatives and the US to assassinate people right? Ford kinda banned it...

Tell that to Noriega or Khadafi.

I've dealt with SIPRNet, I've always suggested having it on systems with (at the time) floppy drives) was a glaring error of judgment.

You did notice I didn't mention the USA, right?

Fun game! What do you call it?

I'm well aware of what wikileaks used to do. If you read the wikileaks wiki page, I'm sure you noticed that none of those things happened within the past year. That's because they've changed their mission to almost exclusively focus on the US and the wars in the middle east.

But hey, don't take my word for it:

Sounds like Assaunge has changed his own mission. With which other key personnel have disagreed with him on and have left.

Oh well. Not surprising really. But while I might not like him targeting the US exclusively I still think that such an organization needs to be around. Perhaps he will get sent to prison for that pedophile charge (hopefully if it is true) and his ex-buddies will start up their own wikileaks type site.

It seldom gets much clearer then that, great post and right on point.

I learned today from a former CIA agent on "FOX NEWS," not one of the pundit shows, that our Government has the ability to shut down Wikileaks Computers servers before they can post another word, and keep them shut down. But Obama has chosen not to.

What would be the point in shutting it down? It would just get shoved to a different set of servers. Assuming of course that Obama really could have it shut down being as the servers would have to be within US jurisdiction for them to have it done legally.

He's attacking the security of the United States. I would say he falls into the, "enemies, foreign and domestic", catagory.
