First Thought's point was that the government was driving people to do illegal drugs.

People choose to do illegal drugs - there is nothing the government does that encourages this.

This ban is the result of years of mind set that rivals: "If it feels good do it," in the case of the DEA's motto it's: "If it feels good ban it."

The Government has been in the business of lies and propaganda since Randolph Hearst lead the mass of lies about the dangers of Marijuana because the use of hemp based paper threatened his timber empire that was making him even richer.

He used his new papers in the mid 1930s, to tell the Nation that Marijuana was the cause of some horrendous murders by Mexicans under the influence of pot, and the lies got into high gear in the public and on Capital Hill.

These lies and other lead to the movie Reefer Madness in 1936, which was 100% lies, and in truth helped fuel the use of drugs in the 60s when that generation found that it was all lies.

The lies about pot alo lead to increased teen pregnancy and the use of hard drugs because when a young person learns that Mom and Dad have been lying about Pot they figure they're lying about a lot of other things.

The DEA like any Government Agency has to continue to come up with some new threat to maintain and or grow their budgets and make it possible to say we are on the job making America safe.

The science or medical considerations are not considered but sound good. Better safe than sorry, don't you know.

I just wanted to add this little fact. The Woman's Christian Temperance Union in the 19th century is responsible for making it a crime to use drugs and hookers. And since then the government has taken the fun out of life due to these Christian groups. Blame Christianity for reducing our freedom and blame women for not knowing their place in society.....in the kitchen.:2razz:

Bad idea. One of the benefits of purchasing sex is doing so on the basis of anonymity. A recording of a "hooker session" kills this.

Well the tape would not actually be in the recording or if it had to. It would be taped over the next session so there is never any proof.

While I agree that the government has it's own agenda - this, here, is baseless and silly.
Kids want to rebel, hang out with the other kids that rebel, and be cool together while they smoke. . .

However - many studies have shown that drug and alcohol use among teens is down in most of the country. All be it - there's always an opposite and conflicting study that claims the opposite :shrug:
