Conquest isn't a game, it's a war crime.
If you look at a map of Europe from 100 years ago you'll probably see quite a few changes in the borders These were largely the result of war.
With the one possible exception of the county that dares not be named, these border changes are generally accepted as a result of a truce..
its like the Boers vs the Zulus. Shaka was a power hungry conquistador. He displaced one quarter of the sub-saharan native AFrican population in the early to mid 1800s. HOwever, his people came into conflict with the Boers. They were better armed and better supplied militarily. to say it was wrong for the Boers to displace the zulus (and later with British help really ring their bells at ROurke's Drift and other battles several decades later) is idiotic. both groups expanded by conquest
There are two novels that can change a bookish fourteen-year old's life: The Lord of the Rings and Atlas Shrugged. One is a childish fantasy that often engenders a lifelong obsession with its unbelievable heroes, leading to an emotionally stunted, socially crippled adulthood, unable to deal with the real world. The other, of course, involves orcs.... John Rogers
This is stupid. How long before we let the bast be the past. How many hundreds of years will America foolishly vomit money at minority groups for the sins of a few individuals? Not all white people owned slaves. Not all Indian tribes were screwed (Manhattan was purchased from Indians, not stolen). No one should receive anything because their ancestors suffered. Should numerous European nations give me money because my ancestors suffered over there and came to America? Should I receive something because of my Native American heritage? All this does is further the entitlement mindset and creates more racial tension in our country.
