    3. studies tend to demonstrate that for every dollar in increased tax revenue, spending goes up a little over a dollar. so your basic point (that this will not reduce the deficit) is correct.

everyone else, repeat this until it sticks: deficits are spending driven, not revenue driven.
Thought some will buy the Obama rhetoric, the 700 billion is over 10 years and is a projection. If those projections are right that is 70 billion a year and the last Obama deficit was 1.3 trillion

9 trillion added to the debt in 10 years which puts our debt at 23 trillion on a 15 trillion dollar economy. That is bankruptcy.

Seems to me that liberals and others have a different understanding as to the role of the govt.

Yes and he lost support because of it, so what has Obama done, put that spending on steroids. he has added 3 trillion in 2 years aand is on track to exceed the Bush 8 year debt in 4.

So your only defence is that as bad a President Bush is President Obama is worse.

In fact, in those days i did not know a recession from recess on the playground. Life was life and I was living it as best i could. Smart people can always make money even in the worst of times. Losers whine and cry and make excuses. These days it seems that some of it is wrapped in rightwing ideology but excuses they are just the same. Its really hypocritical that right wingers blame poor people for not being able to get jobs but then rationalize small businesses who won't hire or create jobs. I guess its all a matter of whose ox is being gored.
LOL, I ran a 200 million dollar a year business and employed over a thousand employees. I made money by growing my business and managing my expenses. Every dollar I was able to cut in expenses put one dollar onto the bottomline and every dollar added to revenue was 30 cents to the bottomline. The highest expense I had was payroll so competition forced me to manage that payroll so I did more with less and that is what smart business people do.

Bush believed in the private sector, Obama believes in the public sector. Our economy was built on the private sector and that is what made Bush better along with the results.Suggest you do a little research. YOu are going to find that Obama and the media has lied to you.

Are we still talking about the extension of jobless benefits?
    I may be wrong.

No, every subject ends with Conservative complaining about President Obama, steroids and taxes going up.

You have provided no evidence of that statement at all nor even a minute understanding of fiscal policy. You obviously don't know how to run a business, read a P&L, or balance sheet, nor do you understand all the taxes and costs of hiring people. Your knowledge of private business is suspect at best.

Just trying to get all those Obama supporters to actually get the facts and to stop buying the rhetoric. Doing my best to educate people like you. Some choose to learn whereas others don't thus remain absolute failures. Which one are you?
