You know the funny thing about all this doom and gloom from you? When I had my business it went through a recession and i still made money. In fact, when people like you were making excuses and attacking others with blame and pointed fingers, I still made money. In fact, in those days i did not know a recession from recess on the playground. Life was life and I was living it as best i could. Smart people can always make money even in the worst of times. Losers whine and cry and make excuses. These days it seems that some of it is wrapped in rightwing ideology but excuses they are just the same. Its really hypocritical that right wingers blame poor people for not being able to get jobs but then rationalize small businesses who won't hire or create jobs. I guess its all a matter of whose ox is being gored.
There are two novels that can change a bookish fourteen-year old's life: The Lord of the Rings and Atlas Shrugged. One is a childish fantasy that often engenders a lifelong obsession with its unbelievable heroes, leading to an emotionally stunted, socially crippled adulthood, unable to deal with the real world. The other, of course, involves orcs.... John Rogers
this is truth the dems suck! the republicans are not much better but at least they have balls
1. it is 700 Billion dollars, not 70
2. the projected deficits over the next ten years are (assuming everything goes well) around or a little in excess of $ 9 Trillion
3. studies tend to demonstrate that for every dollar in increased tax revenue, spending goes up a little over a dollar. so your basic point (that this will not reduce the deficit) is correct.
everyone else, repeat this until it sticks: deficits are spending driven, not revenue driven.
