It could go a long way toward balancing the budget, for one thing.
that has to be one of the most stupid claims I have ever seen. no one argues that the tax hike on the rich (assuming it even generates as much revenue as the parasite pimps claim) will come anywhere near making up for the massive spending Obama has run up. Its just a ploy to convince the weak minded that the dems are not completely irresponsible while pandering to the class envy that you and others are infected by

Sounds like you chose one of those really "mobile" communities where they all live in houses with wheels.
Now, what does abortion have to do with this thread ????

and you are honest about it as opposed to some, for example, who pretend to be libertarians

I used abortion to make a point, liberals seem to be concerned about choice only when it comes to abortion, not when it comes to financial issues and poor choices that they made. I live in The Woodlands, TX, look it up.

why? what i said is true, the recession isnt considered over by those still looking for work...i've said it a thousand times, things are starting to improve, but not at the speed most people would like, and that is what cost the democrats....if the news prior to the election were how businesses were planning to hire/were hiring, and how the unemployment rate was dropping at a quick pace, this last election would look a whole lot different. the American mindset is 'we want it, and we want it NOW'... we want an overnight recovery for an economic mess that took 5+ years prior to Obama to get into. conservative likes to crow about the recent election results, and he believes them to be a mandate for his party of choice, the republicans. nothing could be farther from the truth.

Finally, an explanation for your tenuous grasp of reality.

BTW, lived in Spring, TX for 10 years so I know what most of Houston thinks of The Woodlands.

First of all, it isn't "my" party, but it is the party closer to my ideology. Second, it is the Obama economic policy that the people rejected in 2010. You seem to think because some perceive that things are getting better the facts simply don't support that contention and if the economy is getting better the question is at what cost? This President is the most leftwing President in U.S. history spending more money to grow the govt. than any other President in U.S. history. It is the direction and cost of this economic policy that is turning people off. Most people are smart enough to understand that you cannot spend the kind of money Obama has spent and get the results he has gotten then claim things are better and we have really turned the corner. All that spending did was generate 4 million more unemployed and added 3 trillion to the debt. Wouldn't you have expected less employment today? If not why spend all that money? Now the Democrats want to continue that economic policy, extended unemployment benefits well beyond two years and ignore the will of the people which is "stop the spending."

Tell me what economic results justify what Obama has done in the past two years? You think things are getting better? Where? Why extend unemployment benefits? Why implement Obamacare? Why bailout unions? Tell me what Obama has done that has made anything better? The answer is the reason that he lost in historic proportions on Nov. 2
