How much will the top 1% get to split after taxes. Bet is more than the bottom 45% get gross.

Yes, there were tons of shelters.

But my point is that you are caterwauling about socialism when that obviously isn't the case. That's the only reason I bring up previous tax rates.

why not treat every one equally. ie a flat tax or a sales tax. that would do something a real libertarian would love-cut down on extra-constitutional congressional power

I don't have "top 1%" figures. Do you? Please share.

uh that is not true-I am talking about getting rid of the idiotic progressive income tax with one that prevents congress from playing groups of tax payers against each other. a progressive income tax is anathema to libertarian philosophy

Why does someone making more money than you make you angry? Seems to me that Conservatives aren't the angry ones as conservatives don't care how much you make. the angry ones are the liberals are full of class envy.

nor do I but I know the claim that the obama planned tax hikes on the wealthy are going to result most likely in the highest effective rate on the top 2% in history. I will try to find that-I have heard it on several news shows in the last 6 months

Progressive tax rates that penalize one group or another redistributes wealth and redistribution of wealth is the hallmark of socialism. Why do you want to let the tax cuts expire on anyone during these times? What positive affect is this going to have on the economy or even govt. revenue?

I make a lot more than most. I have an over active "Play fair" bone. I have a great deal of respect for the top 1%. Its when special rules give a few the benefit is when I get upset.
