Kudos to him though for confronting his abuser to his face... that takes guts. I just don't condone the violent action as it doesn't accomplish anything.
Because evidence of rape often stays around for 30+ years....

I guess you don't know that statute of limitations would have long run out by now.

Great, then they should have the guts to face up to the consequences of what they do. If you want to go all vigilante on someone's ass, go right ahead. That ex-priest is scum and I'm certainly not gonna feel sorry for him. But I'm also not going to turn my back on the law. Don't start crying when the cops come knocking on your door is all I'm saying.

If it was the right guy I got no sympathy 65 or not. However, I would be interested in knowing what took him so long?

Why are you assuming the absolute guilt of the priest without proof? The priest knows and the man who assualted him know but we do not.

You think this man kicked his ass just because? I dont think anyone unless the were totally crazy would beat the **** out of a priest without cause.

    Sick bastard.

Okay, I suppose I should have done some more reading. Apparently there is a reasonable suspicion that this priest was in fact guilty.

If I were on the jury, I would probably vote "not guilty" for the man then. I am not necessarily approving his action, but I understand it and wouldn't send him to prison for it.

Sorry...the priest gets no sympathy and should be arrested for what he did (if in fact true) - but vigilantism is just plain stupid.

Do you guys cheer on lynch mobs? What about drug cartels who take part in revenge killings and beatings?

It's no better. Just because you were the victim doesn't mean you get to mete out the justice. Not in a civilized society, anyway.

He absolutely should have been prosecuted for it. Yes, it was wrong of the priest to molest him as a kid, but that doesn't give him the right to take matters into his own hands 35 years later. We have a justice system for that.

So a d00d who has been living through hell because of this pedophile to you is the same as a drug cartel revenge killing?
