Moreso, for the black community, though.

Do white kids, from poor communities, who are sucessful, get haruanged for trying to, "be white"?

Trust me, it's a much, much bigger issue among black, than among whites.

They are white. But do you recall all that anti intellectual stuff? They do get crap for being "too smart." That really isn't any different.

And I see no reason to trust. If we have support for something, we don't need trust. ;)

no. it's more a function of economic standing. poor black, white, Native American, hispanic, and asian communities are where the anti-intellectual sentiment is widespread

since they are obviously white, it's more about being a geek, a dork, a nerd or someone who supports 'the system'

whenever someone feels compelled to ask me to trust them it causes me to question why they feel the need to ask such a favor, to trust them, as if it were something which is out of the ordinary
in raw numbers, i am - without the benefit of data - going to speculate that there are more anti-intellectual whites than blacks
in terms of percentage of those two ethic populations which are anti-intellectual, the edge would probably go to the black community ... again because this is an economic rather than a race issue and more blacks than white are impoverished - as a percentage of that ethnic population

Being called a geek, dork, or a nerd is alot less harmless than being called an Uncle Tom, or a race traitor.

More black are impoverished, because there are more blacks that are anti-intellectual and there are more members within the black community that are waiting for the big payoff they've been promised, versus the white community.

he is correct, there probably more anti-intellectual whites, but only because there are 8 X as many whites as blacks in the US. now, if you want meaningful numbers and want to talk % of the population, tis a different story.

yes. there was a complaint lodged that it was only because he was a liberal rangel was not frog marched out of the capitol

but vitter was not frog marched out for his transgressions and if i recall corrrectly, that person who holds himself out to be an ultra Christian, vitter is not a liberal (except when it comes to sleeping around on his wife)
